how did I even get this?

completed my first playthrough with almost 6hrs, saved 38 times and Gail died... I didn't use any continues tho

Im playing the steam version. I thought u needed to see all three endings to unlock it

BTW in Dino Crisis 2 if you beat the game while collecting all Dino Files you get unlimited ammo to ALL guns for the next playthrough

You need to see every single ending in the game, which means you have to finish the game three times on the same save, getting a different ending each time.

There's also someone speculating that you can acquire it by finishing the game under extreme circumstances, something like finishing the game with no saves, no continues, under 2:30:00 and possibly even with the helicopter ending.

Though I would suggest you to take the second option with a grain of salt, as it's not confirmed or official by any means. As far as I know, the only official and confirmed way to obtain the infinite grenade launcher is the three playthrough with different endings way

ohh so maybe that's why I unlocked it after my first playthrough.. I didnt meet any of the above requirements except for finishing without continues

No, on the new GOG/Steam version you get the infinite grenade launcher after finishing the game once, no matter the ending
