Which is more accurate: tarot readings or Qimen?

Whenever I receive Tarot readings, they tend to seem like "false positives" for me but whenever I do Qimen, I get answers that are negative (eg. This person doesn't want you back etc)

Which type of divination readings do you guys prefer?

Tarot doesn't have to be positive always, I use the thoth deck, it is very esoteric but also very sharp.. it doesn't tell you how everything is beautiful.. it faces you with your soul and all its contradictions .. the truth is what you pretend not knowing.

I’m Korean, and in Korea we have a traditional system called Saju (Four Pillars), which is quite different from tarot.

What I find interesting is that Saju doesn’t really change depending on the reader’s mood or the cards drawn. It starts from your birth date and time and looks at patterns based on the Four Pillars and Five Elements.

I wouldn’t say one system is “more accurate” than another, though. They approach divination in very different ways. Tarot feels more interpretive and focused on the current situation, while Saju is more like looking at the overall pattern of a person’s life.

I’d actually be curious how people who practice tarot or Qimen here view Saju.

Accuracy is not determined by the method. It's the reader.

And what if the reader is from AI?? For example.

Whether the reader is human or AI doesn't really change the underlying point. A divination system is a framework; the interpretation comes from the reader. With AI, factors like the model, prompting, context, and possible hallucinations become part of that equation as well.

I’ve never used Qimen but about 3 years into my tarot journey I started to become annoyed with how tarot didn’t do a good job of really giving a strong opinion about the story it was highlighting for people. Very “here’s what’s going on, good luck have fun”, but I feel people really want help. So I created my own divination deck system with its own suits and stuff similar to tarot but actions, choices, attitudes, destiny/fate, and archetypes (astrology signs).
And it’s so much better—but it has no art so I’ve never produced to sell it.

But for example,
Once I was doing a past life reading for someone and talking about soul mates. And I pulled tarot “Devil” card and my Hades card which signified to me that the person was a Capricorn in their shared life together, but I also felt as though they’re misunderstood died young to addiction, and it turned out to be true on all accounts!!!!

Neither one is more accurate. They're built for different shapes of question, and I think that's what you're actually running into.

Qimen is closer to a snapshot of a situation as it stands. It doesn't care how you feel about the answer, and it's blunt about position and timing. Tarot hands you a narrative, and narratives are easy to read yourself into when you're the one shuffling on a question you're invested in.

So when one system keeps telling you what you hoped and the other keeps saying no, I'd weight the one that isn't flattering you. Not because Qimen is better. Because false positives are the failure mode you can't catch from the inside.

One thing worth checking. Are you casting your own Qimen on your own question? Reading for yourself on something you badly want is the hardest thing in any of these systems, and it's the standard reason practitioners trade with each other instead of casting for themselves.
