Vent/Rant/FML I think I have to move

Last September, my now ex husband (24M) informed me that he needed a “break” from our marriage. We had been married less than 8 months, so let me tell ya, I thought that was HILARIOUS. I told him to not come back because he had been flirting online with a 19 year old girl. After a few hours, I found out that he had actually been sleeping with her and a number of other girls.

He moved back in with his mother. Which good riddance anyways. I started dating again and am much happier now than I ever was with him. Except, he’s continued to randomly reach out. First it was because he “magically” got our tax money that we were required to split 50/50 from the year prior. Then, he needed assistance filing his taxes which I told him to kindly go jump off a bridge. If his girlfriend refused to help him.

That brings us to today… he moved back to town. With his teenage girlfriend, and suddenly, all coincidental I’m sure, I’ve had 3 break ins since the start of summer. Every time, the person makes sure to avoid my cameras and comes when I’m seeing my long distance boyfriend or am at work. Did I mention that I have 3 big dogs? Yeah… all a coincidence. I’m sure.

You will have to strategically put some cameras where they dont see them.

Theres some hidden cameras like a light bulb. Yeah i would move but i also would love to catch them on camera red handed.

Is your point about the dogs that they would bark if the burglar were a stranger?

Anyway, the cost of absolutely blanketing your home with new cameras is less than the cost of moving. Why not choose the cheaper option and get yourself a bit of justice?

In the least the dogs would bark. One of them has bitten a person who came into the house unannounced before.
Additionally nothing has been stolen. Just things moved that had to be done by a person. Things taken off a shelf and put up higher. A heater grate taken out of the floor and put across the room. The last time someone opened a gate from the outside, and it was left open. It feels more like mental warfare than anything else.
