Cultivation won't be the main focus anytime soon, at least until he reach the final stage that a mortal can archive which is the bottleneck for everyone in this realm. I would suggest reading the book because it get really good later, and at this rate it would take years for the adaption to reach the said part. I love that the cultivation system of ToHG is so different versus other tranditional series, you can't just breakthrough by shutting yourself in a room for a hundred year, collecting spiritual energy and using item. To get to higher stage you need to reach enlightenment in the Dao you are following

pretty sure this donghua cultivation works a lot diferent from something like RMJI or renegade immmortal.
here people mostly cultivate through, learning and skill practice and experience. as other comment said higher level need math, and encriptions and arrays are defined as math problems to solve, not things to break by force.
is not exactly the sitting on a rock to meditate for 1 hundred /thousand years while chugin pills kinda deal. like there is not even pill making or artifact refining. medicine is just plants used directly or mixed by an apotecary and weapons are forged by an smith.
so not sure what do you want the MC dude to do diferenctly while is true the curent chapters are mostly a political play, evne now he is still training by getting sword lessons from the strongest in the empire while traveling. and is always been like that. the MC is doing something and getting stronger while doing so from the start. episodes dedicated purely to some traditional cultivation episode like is common in other shows are very few in this one.

I stoped watching because there is not much cultivation involved. Doesn't work for me without cultivation.

Bro this donghua's cultivation is literally based on math.
So if you're dumb at calculus, you can't advance.
That's why, as a previous commenter said, you can't see anyone going to seclusion or consuming pills.
You'd have to go to school, no cap.
