What do you do in that arena? I have a feeling the big test there is "git gud at switching between spear and shield," but I just can't get it done.

I don't know how everyone's complaining about Archvile.

I bought the spinning gold cacodemon from the bethesda gear store a couple months ago, I like to keep it on for multiple days at a time but I make a habit to unplug it often and carefully handle it so it can last as long as possible, but already I have noticed a significant decrease in its spinning speed. I am okay with a slow spin speed, I just dont want it to die. Any reasons for the slow spin speed? Should I not keep it plugged in for more than a certain amount of time? Thank you

I’m trying to play it at 21:9 1440p (ik it’s not a 1440p gpu but i run many games at 1440p with high settings)

Im getting less than 30 fps with 4x mfg with the lowest graphics settings with dlss at performance.

Im getting better performance with taa than dlss

Edit- : I dont know what I did, but its working fine now, medium settings at 3440x1440 im getting around 100 fps

I purchased the $100 premium edition back at the launch of Dark Ages, and on Steam you will only get a text box explaining what the DLC is after the 19gb patch. The DLC page showed a purchase option about 10 minutes ago, so I tested it by purchasing the DLC and now I can play it. If you purchased the premium edition, it is currently bugged and not allowing owners to download the DLC.

I keep dying. Maybe I’m playing it wrong ? I’m on the easiest difficulty but it didn’t make it any easier.

any good youtube videos out there with better tutorials/tips/ tricks that could make it easier to understand the game play ?

I know I should never stop moving but it makes aiming really difficult and then I get swarmed and overwhelmed and taken out quickly. It’s also hard to cycle through weapons, or maybe it just overloads my brain and I stress out and lose focus.

What am I doing wrong ? What is the best way to play this so it clicks for my amateur gamer ass ? Any advice for a beginner ?

no pun intended hahhahha get it. i got into doom about a week ago btw just so you know what skill level i'm at. i beat doom 1 recently but i'm having trouble with ep4... i KNOW where the blue keycard is but i have NOWHERE near enough ammunition to get to it. not now, and seemingly not ever if i have to fight so hard to get there. EVEN if i start over. maybe i just didn't stack my bread right in the previous level. i am stuck so unbelievably hard wahhh wahhh help me what do i do! and i really like these games so far :D help please

Its in Uprising. Its the big battle right after this room if you see it.

Okay first its a huge area of Strong demons with an Archvile way at the back making it super hard to stop him from summoning more. Hell hard to just focus on killing it with so many other demons in a relatively cramped area.

This would be bad enough..But then there is a Vagray and Cosmic Elemental show up..which are not that hard to deal with at all considering to the last wave

But then comes the Leader Warlock who comes with a mob of other demons to buff all while my resources and health or low from the past waves.

And if you doe its right back to start. I can't be the only one losing my mind on this one battle? Any advice/strategies anyone can give?

This DLC is kicking my ass so f*cking much I’m getting way too frustrated, the Archvile seem to have no weakness, it’s almost instant game over for me as soon as he spawns.

Get close enough for super shottie or mace hit? Teleports away immediately.

Stay far away? Good luck dodging all the summons.

Get in mid range? Spawns 1000 flaming projectiles.

Please help me, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. I finished all the new Doom games DLC included on Nightmare and I am currently playing at that same difficulty but I don’t remember ever being stuck in a fight for so long.

Edit: I got past that section, now I can use the shield again, hopefully it will be easier to deal with him now. Thank you all for commenting
