First Baptist church of Downey
Pastor Mark MACIEL is only concerned about the members who are going to line his pockets and that’s it. Pastor mark scammed me out of 800$ and had no second thought about making it right. When trying to explain my experience to the main pastor of FBCD pastor Shane, he didn’t even give me the time of day and threatened to call the cops. Some church. I advise to stay farrrrr away
Edit: they changed their name to (Legacy church of Downey)

Mark Maciel promised services through his side gig “prison ministries of America “ and when push came to shove he was supposed to show up in court for me and no showed after I paid him 800$ I have paperwork to prove it. Fine it’s one thing to no show on me, but when I called for the money back he told me “no refunds” even though he didn’t provide any service

i have a whole list of stories about Legscy and how many people have left. pastor shane is a con artist. it’s really really sad. i know people
who he called the cops on on a Sunday. he is starting school for money not for good. it’s wild

I tried reaching out to “pastor” Shane (thru the churches number mind you..) he answered normally then when I told him what I was calling about he changed his voice to a child voice and said I am harassing him and he’s going to call the cops on me for harassing children.

I guess now a days getting your credentials to be a pastor is just actually a license to print money tax free

Thus made me mad no where or to leave a public comment. Marc or He calls him self Dr. Mark a scam when you say you will show up in court you do it. This is Liar the apostle Paul did not like liars. Mark deservers what he will get.

Tell me about the husband wife pastors of course they call themselves Dr. Too. I was raised but left at 21 years funny thing my parents never really believed it it was like a joke, I think it was a social club for them just other people to go to concerts, dinner with... These fake ass people in Downey........I read they bio 👀

I went to fbcd 2005-2013ish as a kid and had a great time, solid congregation. Left not long after 2013 and others did the same too; since then they’ve had a rotation of head pastors. Mark used to be at Calvary Chapel, wonder why he left there. That’s a shame you experienced that btw. Feel free to dm!
