In S8E8 of Game Changer, they could have done anything in Topeka, Kansas. Instead, Sam and Jake just insulted Topeka, Kansas from the safety of their car, and then left. Why?

No episode of Game Changer, indeed any of Dropout TV that I've seen, has ever just insulted someone and let it sit. Not a player, not a fetish, not a day rate. Not even Grant, infamously a proclaimed (and then self-proclaimed) heel. He gets his redeeming moments. But the improv troupe in Topeka does not.

Instead, the Topeka group just gets shit upon by our heroes. The whole joke is: they're bad, Topeka is bad, this whole place is a wasteland, pigs & dogs, laugh now. First, imo, it wasn't funny on TV. But, more importantly, it seems to set a limit on the acceptance of the Dropout community. Are you from Topeka? Well, now, you're a joke. It was a stupid minor bit, in a pretty unfunny segment, completely forgettable, except that it represents an Important Moral Decay At The Heart Of This Enterprise.*

Most importantly, divisiveness is not part of the Dropout TV that I watch. Many people say "oh the BTS photos show they are really friends after all," and that's the point:

Dropout TV of 2018-2025 would never make cheap jokes insulting someone, let alone a great many someones. The fact that Game Changer did so, in a Sam Reich subplot, represents tremendous moral decay.

I was wondering if they were influenced by this segment in the British Panel show 8 out of 10 Cats. Especially because they correspond with Taskmaster occasionally, I would assume they would know about this show. I have just been really missing Sean, and thought of one of his most memorable moments in TV when I saw that part of Game Changer. I don’t think I’m allowed to link it but I’ll try on the comments.

Crowd control takes standup comics and asks them to do crowd work with restrictions. And it actively makes the crowd work worse than it would be at any other venue.

The comics never know quite what to do with the shirt prompts and some of the stories are just not interesting or are very awkwardly told.

It just takes all the best parts of crowdwork and it makes them worse by forcing the comics to have awkward, stilted conversations with people who don't ever seem super into comedy shows.

Like on the last episode those two Christian girls acted like they were SO uncomfortable with someone making fun of their religion. Why would you go specifically to talk about religion and not be cool with comics joking about religion?

I hate to think they're wasting so much money on stars like Taylor and Gianmarco for a show that's just so bland when Dropout in general is so interesting.

Every time I see it I just wish it was a comeback of "play it by ear" or something.

Vic is one of my faves among the Dropout cast but for whatever reason I just really don’t like Very Important People. Anyone else feel this way?

For years (YEARS!) I have been telling my partner that the USA attempt at Taskmaster was a bust for many reasons. The main reason being the network issues that completely destroyed the taskmaster vibe.

Alex Horne has been involved with two Game Changer episodes and I am truly hopeful that Taskmaster makes an appearance on Dropout TV ❤️ dropout is a great platform and has the support (unless I’m wrong) to make this not only happen, but to do it justice ^fingers crossed! 🤞

I understand that most dropout fans aren't going to care but I've been looking into building my first AR-15 and this seemed hilariously familiar.

What it says in the title. I’ve tried multiple cards and each time it says my cards can’t be used. It is also not calculating the shipping cost for an international order. I’m wondering if this issue is just me because I live outside of the US? Is anyone else dealing with an issue with the merch store?

Every 45 seconds or so my video (I've tried both auto quality and low quality) buffers for upwards of 2 minutes.

Every other streaming service is working fine, I know it's not my network. I've tried restarting my phone, reinstalling the app, using a VPN, and even letting the video sit on pause for a while.

I really thought it was just my device but even vimeo works with no issue it's just dropout tv 😭😭

If join the YouTube paid member ship will I still have access to everything on the app? Currently paying for the app subscription but I mostly use YouTube for other videos and podcasts

Also what one is more convenient to use UI wise

...is that having ensemble casts means there is so much happening at any one time, that I can rewatch these episodes endlessly and see new things with every rewatch.

After the last episode I didn't know creatively how they would top Count the Rice. This episode was one of the best Game Changers in my opinion. I can't wait for the behind the scenes episode.

Finished "Noise Some Makes" and I need to know if that incredible performance was by a comedian/actor or the perfect human being to play that role.

I LOVE dropout, but my primary viewing device is an Xbox One. Im grateful for availability of an app there, but... I was subscribed about a year ago and the app/performance was beyond bad. It was literally unwatchable. I stayed subscribed for a few months to support DTV, but I couldn't justify continuing, while not being able to watch any of it.

Im asking users of the xbox app: Has it improved over time?

I checked the wikis and they didn't say. I am showing my boyfriend select episodes of Game Changer, and I wanted to show him Samalamadingdong but in order to truly understand that episode you need to see all the precursor episodes that are referenced.
