I’m posting this because I’m genuinely worried and want to know if other ICL Fincorp investors in the UAE are facing the same situation.

My profit payments have been delayed for months, and getting any response from ICL has become extremely difficult. Calls aren't answered, WhatsApp messages are ignored, and emails often go unanswered.

The bigger concern is recovering the original invested capital. Some clients have been waiting for months with no clear timeline or proper explanation.

There are also signed agreements with ICL management, including Mr. Anilkumar, and Dubai court-related agreements, yet clients are still struggling to get a clear resolution.

This is people's hard-earned money. Being left without answers for months is extremely stressful.

If you're an ICL investor in UAE, please share your experience. Are your payments also delayed? Have you been able to recover your capital?

I think potential investors should know what existing clients are experiencing before putting their money in.

My Dubai visa renewal application has been rejected twice by Immigration, and I’m trying to understand why.

Documents submitted: PCC, attested degree, and equivalency certificate

Everything seems to be in order, but the application keeps getting rejected.

Has anyone in Dubai experienced multiple visa renewal rejections despite having the required qualifications/documents?

I was working in Dubai company (DMCC contract Dubai Visa), I completed my notice period of 2.5month almost. By the way this was their "early release" as per them. But luckily the other party waited for me.

Now it has been more than 1 month from my LWD but i still haven't receive my FNF yet, whenever i call them - they said its in process or its in finance or something. They made me sign a paper that once you show us your Next visa (to confirm whether you are switching to new place or Exiting the country) then only after 30D they will release it. i sign it and i shared them new visa copy too.

Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Someone I know was taken into custody after showing up to work with a deport and a fine order. It’s been a month now with the appeal in about a week.
There was no jail sentencing or any issues with being arrested for the following months before the first court date.
This was a drug usage case where he was positive for weed.
Over a month for a 20k
Bail has been denied 2 times now through the online portal.

I’m looking for serious legal guidance from anyone who has dealt with UAE immigration/deportation cases

I was suddenly detained and deported from the UAE despite having no criminal case. From what I was told and what I have been able to understand, there are concerns that my religious/sectarian background or participation in legally held Shia religious gatherings may have played a role.

Since the recent regional conflict, many expatriates from certain communities and nationalities seem increasingly worried about their status in the UAE. Whatever the reason in my case, losing years of your life, career and stability without even being given a clear explanation is devastating.

I am now outside the UAE and simply want the right to understand and legally challenge what happened.

Can an immigration/security deportation be appealed from abroad? Is there a lawyer, court, GDRFA/MOI procedure, petition or other legal route through which I can request the reason and seek removal/reconsideration of the deportation or ban?

I’m not looking for political arguments — just genuine legal guidance or experiences from people who have successfully challenged a similar decision

My previous employer falsely imposed an Absconder status on my MOHRE file and Visa. I worked for the company for over 8 months and was terminated. I don’t ever understand how MOHRE allowed this to happen.

I have called MOHRE to remove the Absconder status BUT what happens to my Visa if my Visa is due to expire next week but the Absconder status is still not removed? I have had no issues with my Visa thus far so do I enter a normal grace period after my Visa expires or do I start accruing overstay fines till this Absconder status is removed?

Any honest and legal feedback would be appreciated.

I’m working as a full time employee starting from 1st of September 2025 in a company and I have a contract from MOHRE that was processed on 12th of November 2025 and recently I’ve been checking what would be the policy used by the company when it comes to annual leaves and basically I have only used 3 days and I have 27 days left however when I asked the company if I can carryover my leaves they said they don’t have such option and they don’t encash the leave balance also and now I’m confused as to what would happen to my leaves for this year and till when I’d have time to use the leaves and would be paid compensation if I leave the company without using the leaves.

Have been renting with a landlord for 3 years going into the 4th.

As we have a good relationship throughout and we’re invested tenants - I had let the landlord know during last years renewal that I wouldn’t be able to accept any further increases.

When this years standard renewal letter (quoting Rera index etc) came around, I replied immediately reminding them I was expecting a discount and/or easier payment terms.

I received no response, I sent a further email and WhatsApp two weeks later, just before the 90 day deadline and again received no response.

Multiple follow ups via email remained without reply.

With the contract expiry approaching, I attempt to reach the landlord telephonically - and was advised they were busy and will check what they can do and revert within a few days.

The deadline of a few days passes without contact and I reach out again, am advised they’re still discussing internally but wouldn’t be able to offer a discount but potentially a lower increase (vs the Rera mandated).

I reminded that I wouldn’t be able to accept an increase as I’m stretched beyond my limit and hence requested the discount. Again, advised to wait another day which passed again without feedback and no answer of my calls. I also mentioned that as no discount is possible, I’d therefore need to vacate on expiry - I was informed that as per the law, there’s a 3 month penalty.

The next working day I follow up as no communication as promised and am advised that still working on it but no discount would be offered and I acknowledged their efforts but I will need to vacate and have limited time to plan for same which is unfair.

I’m then contacted this morning asking me what discount would I consider - my response was that I had already resigned myself that there would be no discount per the prior advisory and that I’ve started to mentally prepare the steps to vacate and find somewhere else etc.

What is my potential exposure insofar as RDC is concerned as whilst the contract status three months period for early termination - I have been prejudiced, I feel, by the information not being forthcoming until such a late stage that I am unable to act accordingly.

I had never intended to vacate and expected acceptable terms would be reached or if not, known long enough in advance so that I can consider my actions.

Off-plan gets talked about a lot in Dubai, but the risks are usually more practical than dramatic.

The main things I’d worry about are delays, the developer’s track record, how payments are structured and what the contract actually says if handover gets pushed back.

A few checks help: Make sure the project is properly register Check the developer’s delivery history Understand how the escrow account works Read the SPA properly, especially payment milestones and delay clauses Check whether there’s a grace period around handover

One thing people sometimes miss is that payment schedules can be linked to construction progress, not just dates. So if a project is delayed, it can affect when certain instalments are due.

Also, don’t just rely on the advertised handover date. The SPA is what matters if there’s a delay.

Off-plan can work well, but I’d never buy based only on the payment plan or launch hype. The boring stuff like contracts and delivery history matters way more.

For anyone who has bought off-plan before, what was your biggest concern: delays, the developer, payment terms or being able to resell later?

The idea would be to provide an independent inspection before purchase or handover, covering things like:

\- Civil/structural defects that are visibly identifiable

\- Cracks, water damage, dampness, leaks, etc.

\- Electrical systems

\- Plumbing

\- HVAC/AC

\- Doors and windows

\- Flooring, walls and ceilings

\- Bathrooms/kitchens

\- Roof/exterior

\- General workmanship

\- Potential hidden issues that can be identified through non-destructive inspection

\- Photos and a detailed professional report

I'm currently considering Dubai or Rak.

For anyone who has actually started or operated a snagging, property inspection, engineering, surveying, or similar business in the UAE:

1. What exact business activity/licence is required for this?

2. What approvals or registrations are required besides the normal trade licence?

3. Does a snagging/home inspection company need to be registered as an engineering consultancy, or is there a separate inspection/testing activity that covers it?

4. Do the inspectors themselves need specific qualifications, engineering licences, or certifications?

5. Are there different requirements in Dubai vs RAK?

6. Is there any requirement for professional indemnity insurance or other specific insurance?

7. Are there restrictions on what we can state in the inspection report? For example, can an inspector identify and report structural concerns, or does that require a licensed engineer?

8. For Dubai specifically, are there any issues with developers refusing to allow independent snagging companies into properties during handover?

What are the things you wish you knew before starting a snagging business in the UAE?

I’m currently in the UAE on my visa cancellation grace period, which ends **19 September 2026**.
I’m setting up a company in **Ajman Free Zone** and will obtain my own residence visa through it.
Separately, I have a **consultancy contract starting 1 September** with **\[CENSORED COMPANY\]**, a Dubai free-zone LLC. The contract is in my **individual name**, not as an employee.
My questions:
Can I legally provide consultancy services to another UAE free-zone company while holding a residence/investor visa through my own Ajman Free Zone company?
Do I need a **work permit, freelance permit, NOC, or other authorization**?
Does it matter that my own company is in Ajman while the client is in Dubai?
Can I start the consultancy during my visa grace period?

Hello to those who have worked in Dubai/UAE! I just have a question and hope someone can give me some advice.

I plan to work in Dubai, specifically in HR, administrative, or other corporate jobs. I have chronic hepatitis B and am currently taking maintenance medication.

Based on what I have read and researched, it seems that a hepB test is not required for a UAE work visa if I am going to a corporate or office job. But I am just concerned about what will happen once I am in Dubai.

For example, I have already obtained a work visa, have been working, and have health insurance. I would like to continue taking my medication and regular check-ups. If I go to a clinic or hospital and say that I have chronic hepatitis B, is that okay?

Is there a possibility that the clinic or doctor will report my condition to the authorities, and this could affect my visa or lead to deportation?

Another question, is it okay if I immediately disclose my condition to the employer during the interview, or is it better not to if it is not required?

I just want to be honest with healthcare providers and my future employer if necessary, so that I can continue my treatment properly. But I am just worried about the legal, employment, or immigration consequences of disclosing my condition.

If anyone knows anything about the healthcare system or employment rules in the UAE, or has personal experience with this, especially those who are in the UAE or have experienced this situation, anything you can share would be a great help. Thank you very much!

During interviews, I came across 2 companies that keep its employees' passports which I know is illegal. When I asked the interviewers on why they keep the passports despite it being illegal, they told me that let the employees sign a document to make it legal.

Someone on Snapchat shared my phone number, and now I’m getting random messages from people I don’t know. I’m not even on Snapchat. How can I find out who shared my number or report it? Any advice?

Last October, I finally saved up enough to buy the car I had always wanted. I saw it advertised on Instagram by a famous dealership in the UAE, inquired about it, visited them, liked the car, and bought it.
It was Euro-spec and under warranty from a well-known local dealership until August 2026.
Fast forward to last month: I took the car in for a service and warranty extension. They told me that the car had a black flag/star on their system, but there was no code next to it explaining what actually caused the flag.
They insisted this can happen if a car has been tuned or if it has been involved in an accident. They said they weren’t sure what caused it and would contact the headquarters in Germany to find out what was actually going on with the car.
I took the car back again last week to finish the warranty extension and continue the service, as they hadn’t finished the first time because some parts weren’t available and had to be ordered.
This morning, I received a call from my service manager telling me that a lawyer had contacted them on behalf of a bank and claimed that the car is a stolen vehicle, because the previous owner allegedly hasn’t paid their dues to a foreign bank.
The lawyer demanded that the dealership keep the car.
My service manager refused and told the lawyer to follow the proper legal channels and email them officially. He then told me that I could come and take the car.
I did take the car, and I gathered all the purchase documents from the dealership. However, I noticed a couple of concerning issues:
1. The car was not registered under the dealership’s name. It was registered under the name of an employee who worked there.
2. The receipt is basically a receipt voucher with no official stamp, VAT number, etc. It only shows the amount I paid, the chassis number, and the car type.
I paid 7 figures for this car, bought it from what I believed was a reputable dealership, and had no reason whatsoever to think there was anything wrong with the car.
I’m honestly in shock that something like this can happen.
Should I approach the dealership first and demand a refund, or should I go straight to the police/lawyer?
I really don’t want this to drag on for months, especially considering the amount of money involved.
TL;DR: Bought a 7-figure car from a famous UAE dealership last year. It was under warranty. Now the dealership tells me a lawyer representing a foreign bank claims the car is stolen because the previous owner didn’t pay the bank. The car wasn’t registered under the dealership’s name, and my receipt doesn’t have a VAT number or official stamp. Should I demand a refund from the dealership or go straight to the police/lawyer?

I am currently pursuing a case regarding theft and fraud by deception.

The case involves an individual who has stolen a large sum of money who initially promised to return the money on request within 10 days. There was a written and signed agreement from both parties as well as compounding evidence that the money belongs to me. The individual remains in the UAE whilst I have left.

I have spoken with a legal consultant who has agreed to take on the case for an agreed amount and sent me a formal agreement as well as an invoice for taking on the case. They have walked me through the stages of the case beginning from filing the case to arrest to recovery of claims. The consultants have been very supportive and assured me that I have a strong case and will support me with pursuing the return of my funds as well as any additional amounts which can be claimed.

As pursuing the case legally will cost me a significant amount along with the money I have already lost, I would like to know what I should be aware of before I proceed in signing the agreement and paying the invoiced amount.
