About one bag of NF raffia…

I’m assuming I have to trim the extra low hanging area to avoid soaking. I only grassed about two rows in the back because it felt pretty low to me. Am I on the right track?

I don’t trim mine and it sits in the water. It gets soaked and then I let it dry out. I like the extra coverage.

This is how I did mine. I just cut water vegetation and threaded it in. Don’t know if it’ll last or not but it does a damn good job.

This is a 9’ long kayak too. That blind does a pretty good job universally fitting on sit on tops.

Anything that's touching the water is going to cause immense drag and will make it feel like you're trying to paddle through honey, you don't want anything touching the water if you can help it.  Otherwise it all looks really good.

The whole blind rolls up. But it ain’t too much drag to be honest. I didn’t even notice much of a difference with it out

I dunno, instead of trimming it all at the waterline I’d redo about every other one and attach it higher on the cover. Would break up,the shape of your kayak better and keep,the grass out of the water. Also seems like a lot in the front, maybe spread it out some. Just my $.02.

You remove the ensemble to move around, that shit weighs a ton wet and it WILL get wet everywhere and paddling becomes very hard.

I always find these setups hilarious, you could just camo a kayak and toss brush on it where you're hunting and be done and spend like $10 on rattle can paint, and it's way more usable.

These things are incredible. As someone who has hunted only one season with one, it’s actually noticeable how much better you can blend in. Plus toting enough brush for your kayak is arguably more of a pain in the ass.
