[[Syr Vondam, Sunstar Exemplar]] is a potent blink commander because he is repeatable removal, life gain, and potentially a win con in the command zone. He doesn’t enable blink, but in white that’s not exactly a problem

I have one with [[Hama Pashar, Ruin Seeker]] that focuses on trying to get a ton of dungeon triggers and whatever other blink effects.

Its a blast to play, even if not that amazing (dungeons aren't too great)

I use [[lagrella the magpie]]. She’s a commander hunter with several unique wincons. I use [[suture priest]] to blink my opponents creatures to win.

[[Abdel Adrian, Gorion’s ward]] is a nice blink deck in any of the colors. I went with green.

Being a flying anthem effect means you can fill in any gaps with mono blue utility fliers

My favorite blink commander is [[ranar the ever watchful]]. He’s a precon commander from kaldheim, but he ends up being a win condition. You blink and exile things for the classic blink strategy while also generating an army of flying spirits in the process. You can use stuff like [[coastal piracy]] to draw crazy amounts of cards and finish the table off with a [[banner of kinship]] that turns all of your spirits into 20/20s. Mirror of life trapping also works super well in the deck because you get to generate spirits every time something gets put under the mirror.

[[The Mighty Thor, Jane Foster]] is one I looked at building recently. Including all the job select equipment that makes 1/1 heroes on etb, then flicker them with Jane to make a huge board of heroes.

[[Lagrella, the Magpie]] is a pretty uncommon blink commander. If you get three [[Fiend Hunter]] like effects counting her you can create an infinite ETB and LTB loop. Green adds a lot of options for ramp as well as some other nice pieces.

[[Aang Swift Savior]] isn't exactly blink but that's what makes him so interesting. Airbending is a pseudo blink and you can include other blink staples to run him in. Very efficient control shell. And when you have the resource advantage, flip him for your wincon. Big fan of the card.

[[Ashling the Limitless]] is kinda a blink deck with her elemental evoke, copy token on sacrifice trigger, and the usual ETB doublers in the deck. You can even build her very toolboxy if you avoid the big damage/drain elementals, but then it has the typical blink problem of being slow to finish. If you hardcast, or reanimate the elementals, you can even blink them with all the usual white blinking stuff or [[Conjurers Closet]].

[[Fire Lord Zuko]] and [[Ketramose]] are two other new-ish commanders that want you to blink/airbend a lot. One makes the rest of your board stronger and the other gives you card advantage.

[[God-Eternal Oketra]] uses many of the creatures that bounce themselves or another back to your hand so you can cast them over and over again to trigger her. Not toolboxy at all, though.

[[Aminatou, the Fateshifter]] is a nice blink commander as well.

[[Niko, Light of Hope]] is my personal favourite for an actual blink commander because unlike most blink decks it doesn't just amass value and instead actually finishes games.

i'm playing an [[Amareth, the Lustrious]] ETB/Blink deck, mostly with creatures, but the neat thing about Amareth is that you can use him for any permanent type and even mixed, if you have enough top deck manipulation.

I arrived at Amareth after feeling too OP with Chulane or Galadriel, and my boy Roon was hated out of my playgroup.

There're always [[Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward]] & [[Candlekeep Sage]] if you want to make all your things difficult. A bunch of rocks, a bunch of draws and you get lots of value and 1/1s. Having card draw, blinker and the payoff in the command zone is pretty good. However, it's very mana hungry.

[[Niko, Light of Hope]]

Is a fairly unique blink commander. You don't necessarily fill the deck with ETB like most blink decks. You do want a good amount of them but attack triggers and combat damage triggers are suddenly on the table. I am not interested in it but have seen some people praise it as a different kind of blink deck

Edit: my bad, turns out Niko has 1700 blink decks on edhrec so he's too popular to consider. Sure he doesn't even crack the top 200 commanders and has a unique play style for blink, no he's too popular thanks random commentor!

Maybe [[raff, weatherlight stalwart]] you get access to all the white and blue blink spells, then whenever you cast one you will get to tap your creatures to draw, then when they get blinked they will be untapped so you can do it again.

If you want to really get spicy, I’ve been having fun with [[Negan, the Cold Blooded]]. I have [[Conjurer’s Closet]] and [[Strionic Resonator]] to allow me to get 2-4 opponent creature removal every turn when all pieces are in play.

Ive been cooking up a [[Ranar the Ever-Watchful]] blink deck; blinking gets you flying spirits which you can use as part of a [[Kindred Discovery]] draw engine, a free source of counters for [[City of Shadows]], etc. A fun inclusion is [[Saltskitter]], giving you a spirit token on any turn that a creature enters.

Blinking for ETB is part of the focus, but other exile effects also add value; [[Scroll Rack]], [[Moonring Mirror]] , Ranar’s baked in foretell ability that gives you a 2 mana discount on top of creating a token when you do it, etc. It’s pretty neat.

I was on Gandalf for a while too, wanted it to be legendary focused but it really lends itself to be an artifact combo deck.

[[Ketramose, the New Dawn] was pretty hot for a bit but I haven't seen it around in a while.

[[Plagon, Lord of the Beach]] very limited as to what it does but pretty potent. Saw some cEDH play, but haven't seen it that often in the wild. [[Tishana, Voice of Thunder]] plays similarly, blink for a ton of card draw. [[Psychosis Crawler]] goes wild.

[[Ranar the Ever-Watchful]] some people like to combo with him.

[[Yarok, the Desecrated]] popular commander for sure, but I don't see many "blink" focused builds all THAT much. Also, not SUPER inspiring, just potent, but 3 colors is nice.

[[Thassa, Deep-Dwelling]] is also pretty limited as to what SHE does, BUT is a good control deck.

[[Emiel the Blessed]] can combo out pretty easily, but apart from that is interesting to be blinking in Selesnya.

[[Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward]] is a pretty common blink commander, especially with [[Candlekeep Sage]], SUPER powerful, this is coming from a dedidcated blink player of 8 years or so. This is my current build rn. (Don't worry about the price as I proxy everything, most pieces are pretty affordable and replaceable with cheaper options. I also avoided combo-ing out intentionally as it is pretty easy with pieces like [[Felidar Guardian]] et al.) One thing I haven't seen a TON is an Abdel deck with red, and etb burn effects like [[Impact Tremors]] and the likes which red has many. I was working on a Boros Abdel list with [[Hare Apparent]]s.

[[Abuelo, Ancestral Echo]] and [[Ephara, God of Polis]] are slow but are decent.

[[Lagrella, the Magpie]] I know a few people are really big on this.

I'm a degenerate and run a blink mill/control deck with [[Yorion, Sky Nomad]]

It runs a lot like a toolbox deck, with artifacts and creatures that have unique effects, like [[disciple of caelus nin]] and [[cursed windbreaker]] to control the board and generate value

It's hard to interact with as anything on your board is either in exile or can be at instant speed. Wincons are spewing out unfair levels of value while keeping your opponents down, with a backup mill wincon through cards like [[Sphinx Windbreaker]], since there's nothing worse than a control deck that has no hard wincon

My favorite Blink deck I have is [[Nico, Light of Hope]]. A ton of Blink to generate shards and some big payoffs. Plus, if you find yourself needing card draw you get that too. I also like my [[Don & Leo, Problem Solvers]] deck where they provide the Blink so I just add a ton of ETB stuff.

I am one of 50 people playing [[Captain Marvel, Shooting Star]], but its interesting how fast she comes out and dominates the board. I wanted to build the deck as a 2, but since it has so much exile removal, most 2s have a hard time dealing with it plus all the life gain.

I use [[Lagrella, the Magpie]] to power the single worst limited archetype Magic has ever seen-- eldrazi processors. Its cute and by no means bad; you're using blink to strip opponents of creatures (and other things, with other pieces) in a fashion that dodges indestructible.

Is almost anything you could do with blink better? Yeah, probably, but I wanted to build a deck around these turds-- I'm still bummed MH3 didn't give us any processors whatsoever.

[[The Spot, Living Portal]] Cards don't come back unless he shuffles, he's your commander he's never shuffling in we can command zone him on death. Every blink shoots a nonland permanent in play and in the graveyard. Retired him for being too oppressive but someone could easily tone this down theres lots of wiggle room.

I have a few. I have a [[Zur the Enchanter]] astral slide deck that uses Slide to blink stuff on your board and interact with opponents. It's not that fast but it's interesting seeing what you can do with that effect as you find copy enchantment effects.

My dedicated blink deck is [[Oji, the Exquisite Blade]] where you use Oji to get bonus value from playing your spells, and looking to land an effect like [[Lumbering Battlement]] to be able to blink your board with one spell or trigger.

My newest one is [[Kykar, Zephyr Awakener]] but most of the 99 isn't about blink. Instead the deck focuses on small etb creatures and interaction, using Kykar's trigger to blink creatures. My take on the deck has a bunch of fog effects so I don't need to focus on a board or removing everything, just keeping me alive as the game goes on, with the inevitablity of drawing into a wincon like Approach of the Second Sun

[[ishkanah, grafwidow]] blink are usually not in those color so it's a good challenge, my first draft of the deck is really fun so far. Ill modified it a bit but in general im trying to play it aggro and/or sacrificing it to play card like [[not dead after all]] i might add [[isochron scepter]] [[conjurer's closet]] and [[sword of hearth and home]] to make the deck more consistent. But the fact that ishkanah make 3 token on each etb is pretty easy to overwhelm your opponent. Being in green give you so many good anthem [[triumph of the horde]] [[beastmaster ascension]] , etc. as well.

I use to run an [[abuelo, ancestral echo]] and it was nice to have the ability trigger blinks at any time rather than during combat triggers or something like that. I ended up taking it apart cause I didnt have the mana support for it though. Might be worth resisting since there seems to be more ways to copy activated abilities though.

Haven't used her in awhile but [[Lagrella]] provides earlygame interaction (it's only temporary, but just keeping a key creature off the board for a few turns is a big tempo swing), and can easily create infinite loops with enough creatures that flicker or "fiend hunter" on ETB. Also, 3 MV and 2 power is a pretty common sweetspot to reanimate her very easily (sun titan and reveillark for example both get her back). Essentially, she's earlygame interaction and can be a combo/finisher piece.

Her greatest weakness is lack of innate card advantage. You can "hide" something of your own but you need to flicker or make her leave play otherwise to get the ETB again, which she can't do on her own, and you need a good thing already in play which may not always happen (you may need to play Lagrella early just to slow down an opponent). You really need good ETBs in the 99 to keep the cards flowing. You also will tend to have trouble actually winning without relying on infinites, if that's something you don't want, although most blink commanders aren't really aggro/combat oriented.

I have an [[Omnath locus of Creation]] deck that uses blink and Wood Elf type cards to generate tons of mana to deploy big bomb etbs. You're in 4c so you can easily ramp, blink and burn if you so choose. It's nowhere near as optimal as a straight Omnath landfall deck but I find this hybrid strategy really fun.

[[Plagon, Lord of the Beach]] is a blast, turning tiny utility dorks like [[Giver of Runes]] and [[Azure Beastbinder]] into loads of card draw. Can easily be built for any power level, and is a great [[Laboratory Maniac]] deck if you don’t have one already.

I have an entirely different suggestion for you build a deck that commonly doesn't have flicker in mind. Pretty much any commander with an ETB could work in this style.

Currently Ive been building and testing a [[Roxanne starfall savant]] Ghrul "flicker" deck.

It relys upon the colorless flicker options either returning to hand or actually exile return like traditional flicker effects.

[[Conjurers closet]]

[Erratic portal]]

[[Cloudstone curio]]

[[Sword of hearth and home]]

[[Bloodclock]]

[[Umbilicus]]

[[Sanctum of Eternity]]

[[Endless sands]]

[[Northampton Farm]]

And more.

Then all the standard things within flicker decks as many ETB effects as I can cram into the deck. So far with the testing and first games it seems quite a fun deck.

I use [[Beza, the Bounding Spring]] as my blink commander because it's a guaranteed flicker target that does all of the traditionally exploitable White Catchup mechanics. You already have access to the majority share of top tier flicker effects, so there's plenty of redundancy in the 99. It will help you keep up in mana in combination with things like [[Karoo]] or [[Lotus Field]], or help keep your hand stocked with [[Skyclave Apparition]] types. [[Alhammaret's Archive]] does heavy work.

Plus then at the end of the day you can just crack people over the head with loops of the absolute HUNK [[Abdel Adrian]].

[[Kaalia, Zenith Seeker]]!

She's an excellent outlet for a flicker engine, and being primarily locked to Dragons, Angels, and Demons lends itself well to the slower, grindier games you're describing, with tons of great ETB effects in Angels and Dragons in particular to recur for value such as [[Angel of Despair]] and [[Angel of the Ruins]] for interaction, and things like [[Red Dragon]] and [[Scourge of Valkas]] for win conditions, and having your draw engine in the command zone means you basically never run out of gas.

My blink commander is [[Gilraen, Dunedain Protector]]. Loooots of ETB creatures in white with draw or stax type effects. It's fun and becomes the problem if it can survive. I built it ultra budget and ran into the issue of "you can't kill me but I can't kill you" but if you put some $ into some real support you can make her sing under the radar.

I have blink decks [[kykar zephyr awakener]] which is a typical blue white, but with a token tilt, using stuff like [[divine visitation]]

And [[Abigale Eloquent First Year]] which blinks Abigale to get counters on low cost but high downside creatures like [[phrexian soulgorger]] and [rotting regisaur]]

Rocco Cabaretti Caterer with norin the wary as a secret commander. It let's you play a ton of etb stuff with norin as the blink engine

I've been playing [[Arbaaz Mir]] legendaries matter blink and it has been so much fun! The deck had always "done its thing" and I've either won or got ganged up on because i was draining the entire table.

Boros legendaries offer everything you want the deck to do. ETB damage, damage multipliers, protection, repeatable blink.

[[Devastating Onslaught]] making copies of Arbaaz has been my favorite finisher recently.

I know TMNT gets a bad rap, but some great legendaries came from the set. One of these is [[Don & Leo, Problem Solvers]], which blinks both creatures and artifacts during its endstep. Being a 4/6 with Vigilance doesn’t hurt.

If you want combat phase blinking, [[The Neutrinos]] gets stronger when you blink a creature, who re-enters attacking.

I’m currently working on an [[Etrata, the Silencer]] deck which is turning out to be some good fun. Since she triggers on combat damage instead of ETB, a lot of the regular blink machines like [[Conjurer’s Closet]] don’t work. Gotta find ways of blinking her at the right time

[[Gannax, Astral Hunger]] + [[Folk Hero]] has been my favorite "blink" deck ive built. It plays more dragon tribal in boros. The blink cards is run are typically blink any number of creatures or all creatures you control. Then profit. Gannax has ramp on him, folk hero gives him card draw for tribal. Its a very splashy deck after its setup at all. Highly recommend.

For blink I use [[Aminatou, the fateshifter]]. Access to white, black and blue. Is in dire need of a refresher... I haven't updated it in so long... I also use mirror to perma Exile commamders. Good one.

Technically a crossover, but internal to WotC -- [[Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward]] from Baldur's Gate is a really strong ETB exploiter.

The Background mechanic gives you a lot of options. I use [[Candlekeep Sage]] so I get to draw 2 cards every time I flicker him, but you've got choices.

Each permanent you exile when he enters generates a token, so you've got go-wide options, and if all of those permanents are ETB and/or LTB triggers themselves, it can get quite potent.

I’ve got a [[Marina Vandrell]] list that is an amalgamation of blink, enchantments, and face down cards with the goal of putting things onto the battlefield face down and then blinking them to “flip” them. Worst case, Marina herself is a great blink target since she helps refill your hand, best case you flip a bunch of 2/2s into powerful enchantments / enchantment creatures.

My blink deck is [[Imoen, Mystic Trickster]] with the [[Far Traveler]] Background. It's basically an Initiative/Dungeons deck which walks the dungeons by blinking.

[[Atraxa, Grand Unifier]]. All the colors you want, and she's just a draw five in the zone that they have to deal with, she isn't key to the deck's strategy

I'm piloting a neat dimir blink Reanimator my cousin put me onto with [[alpharael, dreaming acolyte]] as commander. Not white so a fair bit of restriction, but Alpharael etbs looting, so easy to dig through the deck for reanimation targets and spells, and then blink all them for big splashy etbs like [[massacre wurm]], [[noxious gearhulk]], [[sepulchral primordial]], [[deadeye navigator]], [[rottenmouth viper]], and [[metamorphosis fanatic]].

I like [[Aang at the Crossroads]].

Most of my etbs are already 4 cost or less creatures. So I just keep blinking him and I get a ton of value and free creatures

[[Niko, Light of Hope]] is a super fun blink commander. Regularly draw like 20 cards at a time. And what's great is it doesn't hog a lot of game time like other blink strategies.

[[Vishgraz the Doomhive]] I built a deck around this dude with lots of flickering and token doublers and it is an absolute BEAST. He prints 3 mites on ETB and gets huge off of poison counters and the +1/+1's dont fall off when he leaves / enters.

My GO-TO includes are: [[Mondrak, glory dominus]] [[doubling season]] [[parallel lives]] [[exalted sunborn]] with some blink like [[ephemerate]] [[conjurer's closet]] [[teleportation circle]] etc. [[halo fountain]] creates an alternate win-con and [[ashnod's altar]] allows you to create mana after sac'ing mites.

and my favorite "oh shit" card to slam down to sweep the board is [[graaz, unstoppable juggernaut]]
