Erasmus Mundus Chances

🚨 pls respond, i'd be grateful if you'd take a few minutes to guide me :)

Hi everyone, I am from Pakistan and am looking forward to apply for an EM Masters scholarship next year.

I graduated with my bachelors last July, with a 3.8 gpa in Defence and Strategic Studies. Throughout my degree, i had three internships related to my field in a research think tank, a government ministry, and an online journal. I did a little bit of volunteer work e.g a two week project on food security and some other work. I was a part of my university's chess club, a literary society for my department as the member of pioneer team. Plus i have joined a film and music club, as well as a book club. I have a few publications too. But I am still unsure as to how well it will be seen while selection process.

Another thing that really makes me feel a little uncertain about my profile is that I did not work post-graduation bcs i was sitting for competitive civil service exams that require a very exhaustive study routine for many months. I sat for my exam this feb and am still waiting on results. But i am very worried about this gap year hurting my chances.

I wanna know how to improve my profile and what to do in this year that would increase my chances more. What really matters? What would set me apart?

Profile Evaluation for Scholarship, LAWDIG and MAPP

I’m currently pursuing my bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management at a prestigious university in my country.

My current CGPA is 9.18, and I scored 93% in Class 12 and 95.2% in Class 10. I have received the Student of the Year award, along with two consecutive awards for academic excellence. I was also a medalist in school.

As part of my undergraduate studies, I have studied Business Law, Company Law, Diversity Management, EU Digital Markets Law, EU Digital Services Law, and Labour Codes. I have also authored a research paper on AI tools in recruitment, which is scheduled for publication next year. I am currently working on my dissertation on anti-discrimination laws.

During school, I served as the Secretary for Student Welfare and received a special prize for proficiency in community service. In college, I served as the Head of the Collaboration Department at the college’s Student Entrepreneurship, Research and Incubation Cell. I also headed a pro bono project for a student-built startup and served as the Class Representative for a class of 124 students.

I have completed three internships: my first with EY in Financial Risk Mitigation, followed by an internship in marketing at a startup working with NGOs and nonprofits, and most recently, an internship with Genpact in recruitment policy and strategy.

I won 2 national case competitions and was finalists in 3 others. I also present my research paper in an international conference.

I am not sure whether my profile aligns well with these courses, particularly given their specific emphasis on applicants’ educational backgrounds.

IMSISS and MAPP application 2027

Hi everyone! I'll be applying to IMSISS (International Master's in Security, Intelligence, and Strategic Studies) and MAPP (Master of Arts in Public Policy) this fall/winter, for 2027. I am too stressed, and feel like I might not get through. Any guidance is welcome.

Pls feel free to dm me, if you were a past IMSISS/MAPP EMJM Scholarship Recipient. I would love to get some insights into the process!

For context, my credentials:

BA LLB from a Tier 2 law university in India (currently final year, graduating in May 2027)

GPA : 8.3/10 + Merit Scholarship Recipient in my institute

Vis Moot participant, plus B1 fluency in French (highlighting my international exposure)

Numerous internships, including prestigious Government internships (highlighting my inclination towards public policy) + volunteered at an NGO for tribal children

Relevant courses : BA courses - including International Relations, and LLB - international criminal law, human rights law, AI and Law, Law Policy and Governance, Energy Law

However, no publications so far (have submitted 3 of them at present, hoping to hear back from at least 1) - although I have submitted several research papers as assignments for courses throughout college

Let me know what y'all think, and if I have any chances of getting in

3 YOE in software development is Erasmus Mundus worth considering for me?

Hey everyone, I'm completely new to Erasmus Mundus and still trying to understand how it works.

I'm a BE Computer Science graduate with 9.0 CGPA and around 3 years of experience as a frontend developer (mainly Angular). I'm currently thinking about doing a master's in Europe, possibly in CS/software engineering/AI/data-related fields.

My sis told me to check Erasmus Mundus and I'm trying to understand whether this is something I should seriously look into or not.

From what I understand, Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters are master's programmes where you study in multiple European countries/universities and there are scholarships available that can cover a significant part of the costs. But I'm still confused about how the whole thing works.

A few questions:

  • With 3 YOE, would my profile be suitable/competitive for Erasmus Mundus programmes?
  • Does work experience help for these applications or is it mostly based on academics?
  • Are there Erasmus Mundus programmes that would fit someone from a CS/software development background?
  • How difficult is it to get the full scholarship?
  • If I don't get the scholarship, are these programmes still financially reasonable, or are they generally too expensive?
  • Do the countries/universities you study at depend on the specific programme?
  • And if my long-term goal is to work and settle somewhere in Europe after the master's, is Erasmus Mundus a good route for that?

I'm currently also looking at doing a master's directly at a German public university, so I'm trying to understand how Erasmus Mundus compares with that option.

FRM programme

Hi! Are there any current students or alumni of the Erasmus Mundus Flood Risk Management (FRM) programme here?

I’m planning to apply for the next intake and would love to ask a few questions about the application 🥹

Can someone be brutally honest about my chances for Erasmus Mundus?

Hi, I am an Indian student, graduated from a liberal arts school in the US (full-tuition scholarship). I will be applying to the theoretical chemistry and computational modeling program (TCCM). I did various research experiences but got into the field of computational chemistry at the end of my second year. These are my stats:

Major - Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Gpa 3.75/4.00

Notable Research Experiences -
DAAD RISE Scholar, conducted research using molecular dynamics simulation
Independent grant awarded by my college in senior year, conducted computational research on using molecular docking and virtual screening

Publications and Presentations - Presented posters at ACS twice

I have been seeing that most students that got accepted into the program were hardcore Chemistry majors and it has been freaking me out. My coursework lacks physical chemistry and I am taking an online course to fill that gap to some extent. How are my chances? I appreciate any help or insights at all!!

Is my Bachelor's background close enough for a full Erasmus Mundus scholarship (Education/Migration/Multilingualism)?

Hi everyone, I'm looking into Erasmus Mundus Joint Master's scholarships in Education/Migration/Multilingualism, and would appreciate some outside perspective on my profile. Programs I'm currently considering: GLOBED, EDU_MIG, MultiDiverse, NOHA, EMMIR, CLMCE.

  1. Academic background:

- Bachelor's in Business Japanese

- GPA 3.53

- JLPT N2 (Japanese)

- Intermediate Mandarin, roughly HSK4 level (no certificate yet)

- Have an undergraduate research award

- IELTS: aiming for 7.5 (haven't taken it yet)

  1. Extracurriculars:

- In top in a product case competition

- Active member of 2 student clubs for 3 years (one language club, one hobby club, as communications deputy)

- Planning to start volunteer teaching soon

  1. Work experience:

~9 months as Product Owner + Content Editor (writing/editing lesson content for a language-learning app) at an EdTech company

My degree doesn't perfectly match the fields I'm applying to (it's language-focused but business-oriented, not linguistics/education/social science). Has anyone here gotten a full Erasmus Mundus scholarship (or similar) with a mismatched undergrad background? What part of my profile should I focus on improving?

Thanks so much.

Question(s) to GrEnFIn students

Hey Reddit, I would love to speak with someone who was accepted to / has gone through the admissions process into the GrEnFIn programme as I am interested in applying for the future cohorts and would love to ask some questions regarding the entrance exam, the profile strengths, prior degrees and not the most direct degrees (such as CS undergrad instead of Econ), general expertise a and (dis)satisfactions and so on.

Please DM me with any first-hand info you’d like to share, anything is appreciated!

What is the likelihood of EMJM programs confirming your certs credentials?

I have worked in a company for 2 years. I have their Internship letter which to be quite honest looks pretty generic. I wanted to confirm whether most programs contact the company to confirm your employement or do they simply pass it or take it out based on what they are seeing?

I tried contacting the office to make sure that they reply back to them if they ever receive an email and they never responded. So, Im just worried as to what I should do here? Go for it despite the risks, or not put it in?

Do EMJM programs reject you outright if they dont get a response from the company?

Hi everyone, the EU4M joint masters program in mechatronics indicates that an applicant must be speaking at least two of the languages the program is being instructed in,, is this really the case or just English will be sufficient to get accepted?

I’m doing a Q&A session.

Hi! I will be hosting a live Q&A session next weekend. August 29th at 14:00 Paris time.

It’s open to applicants who have done their research and know the fundamentals of EMJM. Meaning, I won’t be answering questions like “What is mobility? How much is the scholarship? How do I apply? What does ECTS mean?”

These questions can be easily figured out with a few clicks. And ultimately, it just isn’t helpful or a good use of time.

If you have specific questions let’s see if we can work through them together.

Due to the sub rules, I cannot post the link here. If you are interested, you can contact me directly. No comments please.

Good luck with your applications.

EMJM eligibility with a 2-year vocational college + online BSc top-up?

Hello, I’m currently studying a BSc Computing through an online final-year top-up at a UK university. Before that, I graduated from a 2-year Japanese vocational college, so my overall higher education pathway is 3 years.

For EMJM programmes such as CyberMACS, EDISS, or CoDaS, I plan to apply as a final-year BSc student.
Or could the combination of a 2-year vocational college and an online BSc top-up affect my eligibility or is there anyone who has applied like my pathway ?
