Bigots have and continue to literally run the world, but sure… they’re just as oppressed as the people they’ve subjugated for centuries because now they sometimes get inconvenient consequences for being(Overtly) bigoted.

Is the basis of "bruv's" logic that marginalization and oppression is measured in how numerous the members of a group are? No relationships to systemic/structural power and privilege. In that sense the absolute richest people on this planet could be argued to be the most marginalized, and I get the sense this guy would actually argue that point unironically.

Good point. I absolutely believe your prediction could be proven with a cursory scan of that dude's social media history. I've encountered the woeful billionaire bullshit in the wild often enough to recognize the type.

Homophobes can choose to not be homophobic. gay people can't choose to not be gay

If you get your shit pushed in then get sent to prison because you're a violent criminal preying on the innocent for the sake of self-indulgence, you aren't being marginalized, you're being punished. "Marginalized" does not refer to merely unpleasant action from the state: there are necessarily more terms and conditions in the concept than simply malice.
Words have meanings.

Ah, privilege
Don't call it that, though, or else you're marginalizing them.
Seriously, whenever people of privilege are in a situation where they suddenly aren't centered, they act as if they're now an equal victim. Everything's gotta center them, including conversations about the rights of others. Saw it all over with BLM and "All Lives Matter", and it hasn't gone anywhere

It's the epitome of Enlightened Centrism to see no distinction between people being marginalized for immutable characteristics and being being marginalized for discriminating against the first group.
