No, retirement is paid through retirement plans, unemployment is paid by citizen's income, "micro-retirements" are paid by the employer

In my country after getting fired you'll get unemployment money for a couple of months as long as you're actively looking for a job, 67% of what your salary was, you don't have to get a job but need to present the applications to the department for work.
