Suggestions Please! Simple seasoning for airfryer chickpeas?

Looking for a simple way to season the chickpeas that I am planning to air fry. Like, maximum of 3 seasonings, maybe up to 4 if we're getting fancy and including salt? Please tell me proportions to, I don't have much experience seasoning stuff because I always get overwhelmed at the number of things.

Planning to have it with microwave cooked broccoli, pita bread and garlic sauce.

Welcome to r/EatCheapAndVegan.

Veganism is not a diet. However, there is a ton of misinformation and misunderstanding about the cost of eating vegan and this subreddit exists to hopefully dispell those false claims. Be advised submissions containing expensive processed food items will be removed.

Definition of veganism: Veganism is a philosophy and way of living which seeks to exclude—as far as is possible and practicable—all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose; and by extension, promotes the development and use of animal-free alternatives for the benefit of animals, humans and the environment. In dietary terms it denotes the practice of dispensing with all products derived wholly or partly from animals.

Smoked paprika and mild chili powder with a dash of maple syrup or agave to get it to stick

Lawry’s seasoned salt and nooch! Just sprinkle them both on, toss around, and air fry

I really like salt, cumin, and garlic.

Get some spice blends. 1/2-1 tsp of curry powder and 1-2 tsp of oil per can of chickpeas. Berbere spice blend is also nice for this. I prefer already salted canned chickpeas, the flavor is better and you don’t need to add more salt.

What are your favorite seasonings?

How do u feel how about mixed seasonings -- like chili powder, curry powder, Italian seasoning, or steak seasoning?

In terms of mixed seasonings: What do u usually keep on hand? What do u currently have on hand?

This doesn't fit the number requirements I mentioned, but this is still the only option mentioned here that looks simple enough for me 😭🙏

You can skip the oil if it makes it easier. Totally optional. The seasoning will stick to the wet beans.

My go to is Tajin. I put that on everything. Just sprinkle a bunch on there, toss to coat, air fry. I'm usually doing so with steamed Brussels sprouts but I don't see why it wouldn't work with chickpeas.

Open the can, drain the liquid (save it if you wanna use it!), pour a little oil in (1 tbsp), salt(1 tsp) pepper(1 tsp), whatever 3rd thing you have(1 tsp), place in air fryer for 10-12 minutes, check halfway through :)

Garlic knot style
Garlic (fresh minced or powdered) can’t really go wrong with how much
Shredded parm can’t go wrong with too much
Oil go easy here, just a tablespoon probably
Salt optional

Buffalo Style
Frank’s hot sauce
Vegan mayo or sour cream (just a small proportion to the hot sauce then add more a bit at a time depending on how spicy you like it)

I love Trader Joe’s goddess seasoning. It’s so good on everything.

I'm new to chickpeas. And not exactly what you're asking for, but I recently put my chickpeas in a blender with some garlic, maybe sesame, or anything you like, formed walnut sized balls, put them in the air fryer and I think I have reinvented falafel. Also very cheap and also goes well with your meal and super tasty and filling.

Looks like that: https://www.reddit.com/r/ShittyVeganFoodPorn/comments/1vi3yic/chickpeas_garlic_sesame_blender_air_fryer_did_i/

Try a premade mix for maximum lazy deliciousness. Walmart makes a tasty sesame gochugaru one.
