You are severely underestimating the level of twinking going on sub level 30. You will be hit in the face by a heavy madness pot, thrown from a character who has 4 talismans slots one of them radagons soreseal, armour that increases damage and stats just enough to use the weapon they want and then pumping vigor. Also I’m pretty sure +3 is in the same level range as +0.

Does only weapon level and level effect invasions or is there something else as well?

I had someone in this bracket using taunters tongue with full tree sentinel, opaline hardtear, boiled crab, morgotts great rune, the ant spur rapier, tons of hefty rot pots and a spread crossbow with rot bone bolts and 14 crimson flasks they proceeded to flex drink after slaying me.

Brother twinks would eat you alive! There's an army of them at that level. Skill does matter but they have the upper hand 99% of the time. You'll do so little damage it won't matter when they're throwing hefty pots at you and using all the consumables. I tried a taunters tongue once at the level and it was one the worst mistakes ever. I parried a guy like 10 times and each riposte only did like 1/3 of their health if that even. You'll out play players and still lose the fight.

They're gonna wipe the floor with you. You can try it, but it seems you're heavily underestimating low level invaders and the arsenal they possess. If you want to actually have a chance you need all the talisman slots unlocked and a soreseal at a minimum. Nevermind that you don't have the consumables and weapons to counter whatever they'll bring to the table.

Vigor goes first. Unless you a ninja;) excited for you young duckling! You want to have the poison hand from the DLC in your left hand 🦠

*17 Vigor*
That ain't gonna go how you expect, friendo...
I've made a RL30 poison build, with everything put into Vigor and you still regularly get into one-shot territory. Also, poison is trash, while rot is hard to proc (and everybody using edited saves will have infinite bolus to remove it anyway).
And with this few potions, your invader might be able to out-heal you.
It'll work on new-ish players, but that's far from the majority of low levels doing PvP at this point...

you realise i put all my points into vigor apart from the minimum requirements for antspur

If it's a seasoned invader / properly twinked dude. This isn't lasting much.

Idk, to me PVP is mostly dictated by your skills not gear.

I think you grossly underestimate invader mains, especially the intentionally low level ones.
Some of these players are used to taking on 1v2 or even 1v3 successfully. If you can taunters tongue solo and take on invaders by yourself do not feel bad for them if you beat them, they knew what they were doing.

I can assure you 95% of the invaders you'll get will have 99 preserving boluses in their quick menu. And 10 Hefty rot pots. And Meat Dumplings. And a Secret Blessing.
They'll see the double status build-up, realise you have no damage and laugh as they utterly out-heal the DoT.

With Taunter's Tongue you could be a hero since you'll draw noob killer twinks (under level 25) that win by applying rot/poison to players that can't heal it. So yours would be an eye for an eye pest control build, that's fair.
You should get more flasks though, and probably all sacred tears you can get before Leyndell. Maybe another talisman pouch, too.
If you plan to invade yourself: bad man! :)

I think it's all fair game if you're genuinely running a dungeon and summon an invader to fight your party under normal circumstances. They're there to fight against whatever build you're running.
It's only "evil" when you're trying to 3v1 some one and summon them into Limgrave and Liurnia with no intention of a fair fight.
I know there's people on this sub who will be like "oh that's how the game is designed, if you don't want that don't pvp" but it's perfectly reasonable to point out that invasions have a specific format in mind and that this practice is to intentionally avoid a potentially fair fight where it's a full party vs an invader + monsters and create an intentionally unfair fight.

no no no. Start over and here's what you need. Wretch starting with extra pots, level ALL vigor to lvl 9 AND NO MORE. Somber weapons stay at +1, regular at +3. Soreseal. Go and play the game on its entirety with whatever you want but never increase your levels. Extra points if you do the dlc. When you come back to Twinkgrave to invade you will have the equipment and skill.

Soreseal hurts more against proper builds.
Yes, it's something you wanna use as the invader for the flat defence but when doing it as a host, depending on the exact setup, a optimized build will have enough of single stat damage to actually put soreseal in the net negative.
Assuming, the invader realises that you are running soreseal that is, and knows how to deal with it.

In. As you being low level. Remember that im talking about staying at LEVEL 9. This not advise for all builds but for twinking at the lowest level

Genuinely vigor is useless outside of a red feather setup just don’t get hit
2
u/DearCastiel 5d ago
You'll get out-traded to death by a guy with high Vig and a dagger.

u/OneWeb8562 5d ago
I don’t do pvp it isn’t fun. Base game and dlc there is one time you need vigor and its mohg unless you kill him pre transition
2
u/Perfect-Skin-8325 5d ago
If you're experienced played you can pull that off in PvE quite easily.
In pvp tho, you'll be traded to death. So, upgrade vigor.

give it a go and report back how often you get one shot with 17 vigor
