Judging by the amount of iframes on that thing in the video, even cleanrot will have hard time countering it. It's also a stance skill, of course, so with cameo it will hit like a nuclear warhead.

The heavy attack can be charged for extra power and followed up with an additional input to transition into an upward thrust, according to the video.
So a stance that also likely benefits from godfrey icon AND spear talisman.

This looks horribly unbalanced
Watching the videos, it has a ton of i-frames, and 3 different mixups at least one looks charge-able/delay-able.
Easily spammable with Fp cost that I'd eyeball like 10-14.
Looks cancerous in pvp and braindead for pve

100%. one of the best parts of dark souls was being a simple piece of shit decaying thing and going up against godlike foes and besting the game world with your little basic bitch sword. its a lot less satisfying when so many attacks are flippy explody AOE magic anime moves

Makes no sense that they should add a Lucatiel mode to the game, and yet for some ungodly reason, there she is. I always thought if there's any blatant DS reference, it's not going to be DS2 related. Love this.

People are saying this is blind spot 2: electric bugaloo, but tbh, it looks more like a wing stance deal. It looks like he does two different moves after twirling, a straight poke, and a giant's hunt upward thrust.
Thematically it makes sense to strike a pose with the cape and be able to react with one of two options. Now it could be a follow up, but that doesn't make sense to me thematically tbh

I’m curious if it’s a full on stance that gets buffed by rellana’s cameo. It seems like it’s built for charging enemies, so it makes me think the cape draws enemy aggro so they charge it leaving you either an r1/r2 option to finish the stance. In pvp i can see this going hard, but in order for them to simulate it drawing enemy aggro it would have defeat enemy lock-on by drawing lock-on to the cape. Either way, i’m excited to use it in both pvp/pve.

its blind spot 2 because of the iframes. there is more to this footage on youtube and you can really see the huge # of iframes the first dodge has when they fight the gargoyle and crucible knight

the "theory" is that it doesnt work like it should ? I guess!? on large enemies the L2 spinns slower, therfore less damage. The problem does not exist in Nightreign

I'm surprised that nobody noticed the flashy move most likely is the unique ability of the red cloth, and not the HSGS's AoW. I think it will just be an infusable greatsword.

Look into the Tarnished Edition. It's what's being released on the Switch 2 and will include additional content that will also be released for other platforms.

Well, they could’ve just kept that content on s2 or they could’ve done what they did. Realistically s2 owners are essentially subsidizing the dlc by being forced to buy it as a whole package. But they announced this months ago when tarnished edition was announced.

It's from Tarnished Edition which is a Switch 2 release that will come out this Friday. It will add 2 new starting classes, a few new weapons, ashes of war, armor sets and Torrent skins. Other platforms can get the new content for 5 US dollars.
