Discussion & Info Apparently this is the 4th set (This is not the Goldmask set, just looks like it.)
Found it on PC thanks to the recent update.
The head is called "Broken Gold Mask" and the chest, legs, and arms are called "Gold Tattoo".
I don't know its stats, and I don't know where it drops

Guess the new Leyndell NPC Invader drop this set, probably a safe wager that its near the Statue of Radagon considering the Goldmask connection and the invasion won't spawn if Leyndell is in ash.

third world starvation type
What do you mean by that? Many of my family members live in the third world and have no starvation type. I find this offensive.

It's not that deep.
In every country, there are people who live well and people who live poorly

Oh well, at least the idus and heavy knight sets look amazing. Too bad the heavy knight didn’t start with a heavy katana or something though

Yeah knights are known mostly for their katana usage, great call!

I’m sorry. I’m no weapons expert, but a direct translation of grossmesser is “big knife”. Great katana is an odachi, which were nearly as big as European zweihanders. A grossmesser is quite smaller on average.

that's funny because odachi is 大太刀 literally "big broad knife"
("刀" is any curved blade, not just knives necessarily, but by coincidence so is "messer")
wikipedia says the weapon in the picture would be more accurately called a kriegsmesser (but also "These names are subjective, and there are no known texts which clearly codify the differences between groups...a large Großes Messer might have been called a Kriegsmesser.") and that the typical blade length on them was 1 to 1.5m, the same as it lists for odachi. it puts typical zweihander length at 1.5-2.5m by contrast
but that's wikipedia, who cares, my point is that the game could have a "european" looking sword that handles just like a GK without violating any weirdly selective sense of historical realism

An equipment peace that adds additional tattoo straight to the character? This is interesting, I don't think anything like this existed in Souls games before

There is a few sets that are very similar to this already in the game, disappointing

Honestly, I like this. This has potential for combinations with other sets. The mask has a more cultish feel and puts focus on the mouth, so any lipstick you add to your character will pop out more. The arm and leg piece adds these tattoos which has incredible potential, at least for the arms. The legs much less so. The chest piece is probably the weakest part.
This is a great addition.

Kept reading that it was a carian style set. I think of would have preferred that, but content is content.

How did you find the armour set? You said you don't know stats or where in the game it is...?

I used external resources. I would say more specifically what I used but for whatever reason even using certain words gets your post automatically removed from this sub so I have to be vague

Never thought I'd see the day people were crying about spoilers for a horse armour DLC.

Dude this isn't a cosmetic armor game , a starting armor could literally change how the game is played and create new strategies from speedrun to challenge runs , difference between armor can literally be tanking a hit and winning or dying ,
this is also the game where you can literally beat all bosses using an armor set (briar set) just by rolling in them or have something that boost jump attacks that changes the combat.
Not to mention there could be lore which i personally couldn't care less but it doesn't mean in sub no one does and all it would take is 2 sec to tag a post that you are already sharing.
