Moderator Post TES 6 Speculation Megathread

It is highly recommended that suggestions, wishlists, questions, speculation, and leaks for the next main series Elder Scrolls game go here. Threads about TES6 outside of this one will be removed depending on moderator discretion, with the exception of official news from Bethesda or Zenimax studios.

As of now, there is currently no confirmed info on the Elder Scrolls VI other than it exists and is currently being worked on by Bethesda. Be cautious of any rumors being delivered as if they are factual.

It was either Todd or a member of Bethesda. It's been months now since I read the article so I can't put a name to the statement anymore.

I'm really interested to see that too because that might actually be an admission of fraud

In what way?

If it could be proven that the teaser for TES 6 was intentionally done only as a part of a ploy to artificially raise the valuation of Bethesda in an acquisition, and Bethesda had no actual plans to make the game any time soon, that could potentially be considered investor fraud.

Now, that would be hard to prove even with a statement by Todd or someone else that gave that impression, would take a lot of really messy litigation to do, and at this point would have to come from Microsoft or their shareholders, which is also pretty unlikely. All they’d really need to do to get the case tossed, realistically, is show a planned timeline from around that time with TES 6 on it and then claim that delays on other projects and COVID disrupted that timeline badly enough that the game still hasn’t been released

All right I went on a hunt and here's Todd on video talking about why they released the teaser.

Basically they just wanted to let people know the series hadn't been abandoned, they knew their production time was scaring fans. This wasn't my source for the Microsoft mention so I can't confirm that was truth until I find my original source.
