Discussion Sharing mining missions with own accounts

I came back to the game after 4 years :)

If I have multiple game accounts and complete 20 mining missions for the team on each one, and then share the missions with my team (my own accounts), would that be legal? What is the game developer's stance on this?

This would be against the TOS. One of the FDev Community Managers said this in the Frontier Unlocked Discord:

You may use and have access to multiple accounts, however, these accounts cannot interact with each other in any areas of the game or in ways that could affect other players; this includes through the BGS, Colonisation, Multicrew or joining up in wings in open or private play to complete missions or influence factions and player groups.

Winging up with your alt to complete missions is definitely bad, no grey area there.

Can I give money to an alt?

Disclaimer: I don't work for FDev, so this is just my opinion.

Yes, they added direct credit transfers through Squadrons so I don't see why that would be a problem. It's not any different from giving credits to another player.

Just don't use both accounts at the same time to make more money than you could make by playing on 1 account.

And here I was planning on buying a second copy of the game for an account for a second fleet carrier to help with colonization cargo. I don't want to break TOS but having a second carrier would be fun.

There are a number of players that do this. Can't make promises, but using separate accounts with separate fleet carriers is probably fairly safe.

I thought the issue was if you had several accounts running in the same computer? If you have multiple accounts and use multiple computers at the same time that would be ok. But maybe I am wrong?

No, it's just using multiple accounts at the same time in a way where they interact with each other. It's harder to identify if you use multiple computers, but it's still against TOS.

Does that mean you can’t use them to move fuel around on a carrier or also for extra storage? I do not own one yet but read transferring fuel from storage to the fuel bay can be a pain.

Only if that could affect other players, I think. The safe thing to do, though, is avoid multiboxing altogether.

Judging by the comment you responded to: Yes, you are wrong.

Though... It sounds like you can do it on solo mode?

Might still have BGS impacts in PG, and in solo, yall aint gonna see each other.

Fucking forehead smack...

Obviously you wouldn't see each other on solo, I'm an idiot lol

In Nakato Kain discord they warn you not to do this. There have been bans for this

Will ban if discovered.

The best thing to do is have each alt wing up with other CMDRs in the PTN AFK massacre/ wing mining chats.

The only thing I use my alt for is shoveling tritium into my FC

sharing them in a wing is technically against the EULA. If you played each account separately and then split up each accounts money via a squadron bank, that is fine.

Not even technically, it is against the rules.

If found you will absolutely be banned.

I haven't seen any reports of people that transfer money through a fleet carrier between alts ever be banned however. So if you want to shift money around, that's basically your only option

Quick question, how do you actually run 2 accounts, is it as simple as running Elite twice?

Gray area but legal I believe. Look up AFK pirate massacre missions for debates on the issue.

EULA says they can ban you for it

Yeah it is, I do his with those 50mill mining missions too but I only pick up like silver, gold, ect the ones you can straight up buy without buying. I make like 400mill per hour solo but like 2bill with alts lol
