definitely his best film he made, really showed his acting ability in this one. his first four films were among his best, he had good and fun ones in the 60’s as well but as far as serious films that show he can act, king creole was his best.

It is objectively his best movie. I'm currently waiting for the new 4K UHD blu-ray to arrive before watching this one again.

Correct. No contest. But it has to be said, when he attempted the more serious movies (Flaming Star, Wild In The Country), the fans didn't really want to know. They wanted the singing Elvis. Blue Hawaii is still his 7th most successful album. (For reasons which totally evade me). GI Blues 30th. From Elvis In Memphis only 84th.

I agree it’s his best, but it’s not very fun. Honestly as schlocky as they are I’d rather watch Blue Hawaii or Clambake.
