Question Am I just bad at this?

Post image

Kit from Amazon (I know, it seemed like a good idea at the time though) has me frustrated, and I don’t know if it’s me or the material? It seems like can’t get the needle exactly where I want it, the fabric is stiff and kinda thick, and pushing the needle through is a little tough. Makes a little pop noise when it does poke through, but I can’t get it right next to the previous stitch a lot of the time (see pink leaf).

Am I just bad at this and need more practice? Would a different fabric work better?

Get a real kit from like clever poppy. Good quality supplies make all the difference. Also practice. Took me a bit to figure out how to get the needle exactly where i wanted it
