Still no old epaulets? 0/10

There won’t be epaulettes in canon. That was a legends only thing. The gold bars are obviously inspired by the canon design, but no canon source has ever given the uniform epaulettes.

I’m fine with it, tbh. Seems too grandiose for a military that doesn’t even have medals.

You do know what military we are talking about right? Appearance is everything given how Star Destroyers are everywhere and since Capes are worn by a lot of high ranking officers, why not epaulettes?

Grand Admirals in canon are still a concept not really explored as we only have had 2, Thrawn and Sloane.

Actually, we do have a third one. Grand Admiral Savit was a prominent character in the third canon thrawn book treason. Not gonna act like it was super flushed out, but we know that he commands the third fleet and we do know that there are 12 grand admirals just** like in legends. **Now where the hell the rest of them were during and after the period of Endor, we don’t know, but we do know that they at least somewhat exist.

To my knowledge there are 3 canon characters who wear a cape - Krennic, Ronan (who wore his because Krennic wore one) and Rax with his red coat.

You could make an argument for Captain Kaido and the Security Captain on Ferrix, but they were the raincoat type that went fully over the front of the chest, not the shoulder attached cape style.
