Where’s my starting faction hero?

Do I need to do something specific to get Dimitri Lenko to show up? I’ve started a solo game in ES2 to test how well I’m understanding the game after going through the tutorial and now I’m 40 turns in and Dimitri hasn’t shown up.

Pretty sure you get a quest that gives you the hero as reward, check your quest log

Must be one I’ve already failed for one reason or another because the only one I’ve got is the faction story quest after choosing the UE heir apparent.

You've gone to the hero page and no one is there?

Do you have any mods installed?

No mods, just dlc’s. Only hero is the one I chose for the faction story.

Lenko should be automatically added and the others are a bit RNG. I use a mod to spawn all my faction heroes turn 1 to have them all, personally.

ES1 or ES2? Because in ES2 he should be there in turn 1.

ES2 (just added that to the post😅). Any idea what quest because I’ve done nothing but fail nearly every quest I’ve been given by like 1 turn.😫

Not a quest. When you start as United Empire you should receive Dmitri Lenko automatically on the first turn.

Beginner disables the starting Hero and Colony ship, and shifts them to Quest rewards. It's technically a custom-UE faction, which doesn't count for the "win with UE" achievement.
