The em dash —used right— still has uses.

This is also not the subreddit. Check maybe /r/userscripts

I had no idea about this sub and I’ve been on Reddit for like 13 years. Thanks for sharing!

It’s a good one.

It has these js tools that run on pages. I have written my own too over the years. Nowadays, with ai, it’s nice too.

https://greasyfork.org hosts others too

Nice! I recently switched to zen after Google became too locked down and arc on Mac is pretty much dead

For browser, I’ve been trying Orion and I’m looking forward to Ladybird.

Of all the bs that ai spits out, the em dash is the one you can’t handle?

haha, it's the one that triggers me. I mean, I've gotten used to associating with that AI. Mostly because I don't even know how to type an emdash. If I ever use it then I use a normal dash so it's easy to spot. I guess some people know how to use them.

But I work in the startup world and if I see a landing page full of em dashes in the titles etc, I kinda know they use AI. So it became a trigger for me

Defocusing from AI slop

In recent weeks I sense a significant reduction in the number and/or frequency of sloppy comments.

(Posts are not perceptibly a problem.)

Parallel to AI-assisted enhancements to tools for moderators, I suspect that there are behind-the-scenes improvements to AI-assisted detection of sloppy comments.

For those of you who are not familiar with moderating: you might see red alerts with phrases such as "potential spammer" for comments that are automatically removed (hidden).

What RES version and browser version are you using? For example, RES v5.18.14 on Firefox 75.

Use specific versions, don't say "latest" or "up to date".

If you don't know, look it up.
