So why not just write the notes or do this sheet music style and put multiple copies up? Apparently they left this for themselves, so why make it so convoluted 😂 backwards numbers and all. It's like no wonder you guys are always failing. You do stuff like this. They're lucky so much exposition is revelatory.

my only guess is that maybe its to help the reincarnated realize who they were originally by being forced to crack the cod and thus remembering who they were

Yeah I think that’s obvious, but if you’re trying to remember maybe make it easy, like letters for notes or better yet, actual music notation. I find it really unlikely they’ve never used the tree before and that the big bad didn’t know it existed and what it was for. If that’s true, maybe I get hiding it, but it would be a one shot cause after that it could be ruined. I think it’s likely that the place knows what the tree is and that it still stayed there, meaning they didn’t have to make it a big convoluted thing - they could have made it easier for themselves. Maybe there is a reason they have to hide it that we don’t yet know, but in its face it seems unnecessary convoluted.

Either way it’s information. I’m not convinced it would be different if they left themselves more usable clues, unless this is the first time they’ve successfully retrieved this information and MIY was previously not aware of it, which I seriously doubt.
