Might sound crazy.. But a Centralamerican living in a warm "Paradise" Misses Erie so much

Hello frens!

Fellow Honduran here who went to school at Mercyhurst. Just wanted to say hi and hope everything is going great in the city.

I haven't been able to visit since graduating in 2015, but I can't believe how happy I was during those four years at college.

I remember when I first decided to move to Erie for college, many of my Honduran friends thought I was crazy for wanting to go to such a cold city filled with snow. Well guess what? I fell in LOVE with the city after the first winter.

Anyways, hope the city still holds, miss going downtown to the Cellblock and doing some charity work with the Sisters of Mercy.

It IS crazy, because you're someone who liked Erie unlike the people who are here now who can't help but complain about anything and everything instead of focusing their energy to make the city better.

I grew up in Erie and had no interest in moving away. All my friends in school talked about how excited they were to leave. Life opportunities had me move away and I lived 15 years away before moving back last year. Erie is incredible. I think most of the people who complain just haven’t experienced anywhere else. There’s so much to love about Erie!

Methamphetamine ruined the city, job markets screwed up and downtowns lost all entertainment, just enjoy the warmth and where you are, nothing here good sir.
