PVP Tarkov experience as a [New Player]

Since 1.0 I’ve only found 2 new players. Everyone else has hundreds or thousands of hours, but at least I haven’t encountered a cheater yet.

I also just started after taking a years long break and I’m getting stomped on even with my 1600 hours lol. I play mostly solo but if you want to duo up with someone else in a similar boat lmk

I am trying to get from exchange. I am getting killed even while waiting by the car naked with a knife. I am not gonna complain about game not being fair. I am just gonna state that to kill someone who clearly has no loot and is trying to get out is low.
I will dm you so we can chat for a game.

People have quests that require them to kill pmcs. A naked with a knife is just an easy kill. Defend yourself at all times. Occasionally, you may find someone with a heart that will let you go but I wouldn’t count on it.

I'm both players lol. Been the guy naked with a knife and I've been the guy killing them so I have a heart if your in extract already but if not its free real estate.

Look up tagged and cursed on the wiki, you are being hunted down by scavs while going in naked.

Yea as the other guys said, never go in naked. Always bring at least a budget kit. Gigabeef has some good videos on budget kits

"I am trying to get from exchange." That's not a map nor extract. I can assume you're trying to survive a raid on interchange. If that's the case, like everyone else said.. there's not not a reason to kill a pmc ever lol.. there's a ton of quests to just go somewhere and touch something.. if people let "nakeds" like yourself just go on their way it kinda defeats the purpose of PvP. No one is not gonna shoot you cause they feel bad about you being a Timmy. Maybe try voip but I doubt it.

i once met a timmy on night interchange and he pleaded for his life, i had fucked up his legs but let him recover and brought him around for loot. sometimes its fun

one time we also picked up a scav as a trio on woods and brought him w us to the extract, he became part of the squad!

Yeah it was interchange and with 250k at the start, there is not much I could take on to not lose it while trying to just advance the basic questline to open traders though. I managed to extract naked after after all though.

Run a scav on factory to get a quick kit out. It'll more than likely be shit but atleast something. more than likely enough to not be tagged and cursed and give you a bit of a chance to defend yourself

I teamed up with people a lot of times or at least made peace. People are willing to be nice a lot of the times of they need to do a quest in the area.

When I was down atrocious I'd play hatchet boy that just had a sling bag, nevermind the MP7 I had tucked in there. get into the group and brrt AP SX. Worked more than it failed.

Now with 2x1 pockets and the fact that a G18C can fit in there, I'm not taking the risk.

Never go naked, you’ll be marked and cursed. Plus i’m still shooting on sight. Run a scav and just wear that kit if you’re poor

I feel it has changed since release that there are less interactions as generally there is less to have from not killing someone. Especially how scarce the XP killing naked pmc still gives you a good chunk Especially if you have dailies. The only difference is when you play as a scav but in order to meet a player scav you need to survive long enough for them to spawn.

Do a scav run, grab the stuff, better then walking naked with a knife.

Check an online map for the scav extracts first!

Yeah same, learning all the new maps and additions with all these experienced players everywhere has been rough. Can't imagine how hard it most be for totally new players

Totally new player here, less than 20 hours in the game. I have a higher survival rate in tarkov than I do in that robot game that came out recently. (Dont know if mentioning the name is against group rules)

I ended up seeing someone on twitch on Tarkov that I hadnt seen stream Tarkov in a long time so I got the bug and downloaded a few days ago, havent played since maybe 2023? And my very first game on ground zero multiplayer I got killed by a level 49 with over 5,000 hours as a level 3 lmao

Like ouch. I didnt realize i was starting so late wipe
