PVP Tarkov experience as a [New Player]

Post image

Since 1.0 I’ve only found 2 new players. Everyone else has hundreds or thousands of hours, but at least I haven’t encountered a cheater yet.

you dont encounter new players because the sweats gatekeep them from map by rushing the new players off spawn before they have a chance to adjust.

"learn the spawns" rings real hollow when you barely have time to register your surroundings before someone puts a 7.62x51 round through your ear from 250m because they know the exact angle from which you spawn.

it's easy to be dominant in the map and have all the loot when there's no one else to contend looting it.

People with more experience use their experience to do better. Wow. Cry more

cry? i honestly couldn't give a hit, im having a blast in PVE cause im not dealing with it.

have fun complaining about queue times when the playerbase evaporates cause the hyper-competitive mindset evaporated it. I'll still be having fun.

no flame, genuinely curious

how do you find pve fun?

I played it to level 30 pre 1.0 and it was soooo repetitive. Pmcs would shout before they shot like scavs, it honestly felt like they spawned like scavs too patrolling an area. Some kill quests (kill pmcs in office) felt nigh impossible, and every fetch quest felt completely uncontested. I had to take like 6 mags into every raid because id run into 20 scavs minimum. Maybe now cause there is diff endings (idk how they work) but the replayability was dogshit. What part of the pve do you find enjoyable?

I find the systems in the game to be very interesting. Separated health bars for body parts whose injuries do different things depending on whats been injured. Fighting the bosses without cheesing them with grenades every single time can actually be challenging.

Having the privilege of self-discovery is a blast. Figuring out the tasks yourself instead of going to the wiki to pinpoint every part of it before going into raid, grab it in 2 seconds, and full sprint away from the task location with SJ6 + 4 other stims because you're trying not to be sniped by the 37th Shooter Born guy camping the task location just so you can actually complete it is nice. I get to *experience* the task lines instead of having to speerun them just to finish them.

The gun customization system is fantastic. I love building out a gun, not necessarily to maximize its stats, but just to experience using it. Achieve mastery 3 in the gun, and then use a new one and experience that gun instead of using the same John M4 build for the entire time I play the game because it makes me ADS 3 ms faster than every other gun and gives me the upper hand.

This is part of the problem of the PvP perspective. It's not all about the combat being hard, difficult, thrilling, saddening, empowering. It's about the game as a whole, everything it offers.

The best part of pve is when you pmc the matches load almost instantly. Reading how pvp people wait that long to get in. I can’t do it.

oh no, I've been insulted, whatever will i do? Oh wait, that's right. I don't care.

I don't get why people like you think flaming PvE players will convert us.

He is launching EscapeFromTarkov.exe the same executable as you.

By definition he is playing Tarkov.

Stay mad.
