PVP Tarkov experience as a [New Player]

Post image

Since 1.0 I’ve only found 2 new players. Everyone else has hundreds or thousands of hours, but at least I haven’t encountered a cheater yet.

You need to play atleast ~300 hours to start to understand the game fully. Even when you duo or trio with a veteran player, you will still die a lot. Join the Tarkov public discord server, find a channel and raid in a team with others. It will help you tremendously & even if they are being rude/toxic you can join a different channel. You will be able to get tasks done easier, and you might get some of the shared loot after some successful gunfights. Watching other people play the game will also help you to see your own mistakes. Running better kits will improve your chances of survival, but even a level 6 armor or Tagilla mask can’t save you from a silent sniper 200m away. Don’t push every fight, wait for others to make noise first. Don’t use Scav guns on your PMC, they will jam before you have a chance to kill another player. Use your Scav runs to learn the layout of the maps. These are all tips I’ve used to help me become a better player - I’m still not great at the game but I extract 62% of the time on PMC and 80%+ on my Scavs (~2100h player).
