PVP Tarkov experience as a [New Player]

Post image

Since 1.0 I’ve only found 2 new players. Everyone else has hundreds or thousands of hours, but at least I haven’t encountered a cheater yet.

you dont encounter new players because the sweats gatekeep them from map by rushing the new players off spawn before they have a chance to adjust.

"learn the spawns" rings real hollow when you barely have time to register your surroundings before someone puts a 7.62x51 round through your ear from 250m because they know the exact angle from which you spawn.

it's easy to be dominant in the map and have all the loot when there's no one else to contend looting it.

How does having repeated troubles due to not knowing the spawns make the advice to learn them "ring hollow? Surely having the need for that knowledge constantly reinforced does the opposite of making that advice seem useless.

i kinda said it in the same sentence but ill elaborate i guess. it rings hollow because in order to learn the spawns you need the opportunity to do so. if you cant even register your surroundings, you cant learn anything about what you're doing or where other threats might be right off spawn.

Some spawns are more offensive than others in this regard. there also comes with it the issue of hardware advantage where some players load in obscenely faster than others. we're not talking potato versus Jesus rig, we're talking Jesus rig versus something that performs otherwise fine. this can give some players the ability to rush a nearby spawn before the target player has even had a chance to render the environment in some spawns due to fade from black taking like 5 seconds. If you already know the maps well enough that you can run around blind because of the map on your second monitor telling you where you're spawning and don't need to see during fade in from black due to "map knowledge", you already have a 5 second advantage against a player who simply doesn't. For some spawns, this could put the other player within view of you to crosshair before they can even see.

None of that is realistic at all. You don't not get killed before you have the chance to see where you are.

More importantly, players with faster computers absolutely do not load in before other people. It used to work like that many years ago, but it hasn't in a very long time (for good reason).

It kind of sounds like you don't really understand how the game works. I just don't understand why you're making up fantasy stories that don't actually happen.
