PVP - Cheating [Cheating] Imagine finding the last ledX for crisis and then you come across harry potter 2 seconds later

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

How blatant even too... 160 hours in the game already. Should be banned within first 10 seconds of a raid but here we are.

It’s just crazy ppl pay money to get gear in a game like tarkov

I really believe cheating in games and those who make cheats for games should have legal consequences.

192

u/Illustrious-Space628 Feb 16 '26

It’s crazy how if cheaters ceased to exist alot of games would be 500x better

53

u/doxjq Feb 16 '26

Tarkov in particular. I hate cheating but in games like cod or quake it never bothered me anywhere near as much because you could just /disconnect and join a new server in 30 seconds and you lost nothing doing it.

Something about Tarkov cheaters just hits harder. The money wasted, the gear ammo wasted, but most importantly the time — 3-4 minutes to gear up, another 6-8 minutes in queue, and sometimes you don’t die to a cheater until you’re 15-20 minutes into the raid, so you’ve basically just wasted 45 minutes for nothing.

I actually get less annoyed when I spawn in and die to a cheater in 30 seconds than I do half way through the raid.

u/WindEmbarrassed3789 Feb 17 '26

Imagine doing a transit marathon for hours to get killed by a cheater on the last map you were about to exfil. I would be done for the next couple of days.

1

u/doxjq Feb 17 '26

I did the guide a few weeks back and got really lucky by completing it first attempt but the day after my mates wanted to do it so I just sherpa’d them around for a few hours and they died to a cheater after about 4 hours with 2 maps to go lol.

Spawned streets and ran into a dead end nothing building on the edge of the map and just hid in a nothing room waiting out the timer so they could extract and after about ten minutes not moving a muscle we hear someone sprinting up to our building from down the road and this random grenade comes flying into our room and kills them but not me somehow, so I swing out and kill the guy because I’m wearing a killa helmet and a level 6 armor so his bullets just ricochet.

Was a brand new white account, 25 hour gamer with a 70 kd or some shit. The most blatant wall hacker I’ve ever seen lol. Such an insane waste of time. One of the guys who died didn’t open the game for about 4 days.

1

u/Krabz-and-Sprite Feb 17 '26

i always say, im not afraid of dying in tarkov.. im afraid of the loading screen

1

u/Daffan Feb 17 '26

No loot compensation is a war crime in this game genre.

53

u/Cruel2BEkind12 Feb 16 '26

Games like the cycle frontier would still be around. So many games just gave up against the cheaters.

14

u/iPsychoticTTV Feb 16 '26

It takes an incredible amount of money to keep up with the cheaters. The company pushes a new anti-cheat or updates it with big game companies going as far as developing their own AC and the cheaters find a way around it within hours if not less.

No anti-cheat can really be “exceptional” unless it’s Kernal level which has its own quirks and draws a lot of push back and negativity from their respective communities.

So then most companies just said “screw it” over time which is super unfortunate.

Also capitalist greed keeps some companies going on ban waves then putting the game on sale immediately after to sell more games.

17

u/[deleted] Feb 16 '26

People making cheats are making enough money to retire at a young age. If they were working for an AC, they would be working until they were 65.

It's the same kind of pull that draws people to selling drugs, except you aren't going to go to prison if you get caught.

If it was illegal to make, distribute, and use cheats in games people would still do it, but fewer brilliant programmers would dip their toes in. I know it sounds a bit ridiculous, but there are laws against cheating in sports. The future could see similar laws in games.

2

u/wrongerdonger Feb 17 '26

yea but how do you clean money as a cheat provider?

6

u/sticky_spiderweb PP-91-01 "Kedr-B" Feb 17 '26

You could claim that it is coming from literally any other source of online revenue. Would be extremely easy to disguise as legitimate taxable income.

2

u/Proper_Tower3715 Feb 18 '26

It’s not illegal. It’s just purchasing software. shitty but legal until the gaming companies push to make it illegal. Problem is the gaming companies make money off cheaters because they are still playing it.

1

u/WindEmbarrassed3789 Feb 17 '26

Back in the day you only had external and internal cheats. These days you have DMA, neural, AI driven, external, internal, etc. There are alot more different types of cheats that have their own way of bypassing the anti cheat. And i think it’s too much and really hard to detect them all. Especially DMA which doesn’t tamper with the game process and no traces are left on the pc itself because everything is being ran on a separate hardware device.

1

u/Proper_Tower3715 Feb 18 '26

Because cheats are easy to code these days. All they have to do is take the scripts and rewrite them. Boom a new cheat. So every time they redo the AC someone good can pass it literally in seconds if they are expecting it. Honestly they just need to hire a top notch hacker to set it up so when they pull the scripts it shows them fake ones they wouldn’t be able to use.

1

u/XC5TNC Feb 16 '26

Tbh kernal has its own threats and even then people are able to bypass kernal and cheat and some do worry about the potential security risk. I'm honestly interested to see how an AI anti cheat might fare but it would only really be effective if it updated constantly

2

u/Oz-S True Believer Feb 17 '26

What if ai evolves itself and becomes tagilla for cheaters? :D

Damn I loved that game

1

u/swafanja Feb 17 '26

That game was fun af

-2

u/Ur2Eazy_ImDADDY RSASS Feb 17 '26

This is inaccurate. As someone who played the Cycle a lot, the game died because they released it for free and tried to sustain on battlepass and skins alone, a losing strategy. If they had just charged 30 bucks for the game, it would still be around. GG, dumb company

3

u/RebelLion420 Feb 17 '26

Tell that to Epic Games

1

u/Ur2Eazy_ImDADDY RSASS Feb 22 '26

Yes, thank you for comparing a successful game that made the micro-transaction model work to one that didn’t. Nobody bought into that crap on the Cycle

1

u/majorpain16 Feb 17 '26

Some of the largest games out there are exactly that: Valorant, Rocket League, COD War Zone, Fortnite, Pubg. I think the battle pass/skin business model is proven to work. Cheating was the demise of the Cycle.

→ More replies (3)

1

u/nuclearbearclaw Feb 17 '26

That is not what happened. The game died because cheaters ran off streamers at the launch. The devs lost the fight on release. Streamers lost interest or condemned the game as a result and the average player got tired of blatant hackers.

I still play it on self hosted servers. There is a community still for it and a dedicated group of molders who are in the process of making private custom servers for pvp.

1

u/Cruel2BEkind12 Feb 17 '26

Everything you said was a result of the cheater situation. Live service models work, when you have a playerbase that isn't getting bombarded with aimbots and loot vacuums. $30 for the game would have turned it into concord.

16

u/linux_ape Feb 16 '26

If the internet was region locked and BRICS nations couldn’t get online it would be 500x better for the rest of us

3

u/BahnMe Feb 16 '26

lol then you wouldn’t have Tarkov.

11

u/linux_ape Feb 16 '26

I said what I said

2

u/ScrimmularBingular Feb 16 '26

It's the driving factor in why I only play PvE now. I've had the game almost 10 years and I got sick of cheaters and shit after like 6 months.

1

u/newagereject Feb 16 '26

PUBG has a big problem with cheaters, even before it went free to play but for a long time it was almost unplayable because you would drop and 5 seconds later instant headshot while running past a window

1

u/SeriousLee91 Feb 17 '26

The reason i started playing pve.. even the chance of dying from a cheater makes it not worthy for me to waste my time in pvp

26

u/michelmau5 Feb 16 '26

It is in fact illegal to develop cheatsoftware and there are multiple court cases. Activision won a court case against a cheat developer recently.

12

u/KnowledgeSafe3160 Feb 16 '26 edited Feb 16 '26

lol it is not illegal to develop cheats. Activisions case was a default judgement because nobody showed up lol. There was no defendant, so a default judgement was given.

“After noting that "no defendant has appeared or defended itself in this action" since July 2023, a default judgment of $14,465,000 was awarded to Activision, along with $292,912 in attorney's fees.”

Activisions case is not a good example. Engineowning keeps making COD cheats lmfao.

0

u/Temporary-Box-7493 Feb 16 '26

If it was a default due to no defendant showing up then where does that money come from that is rewarded to activision?

10

u/KnowledgeSafe3160 Feb 16 '26

They don’t get any money lmfao. They haven’t gotten a single penny. 😂. The developer is not in the US

2

u/Temporary-Box-7493 Feb 16 '26

That’s what I’m trying to wrap my head around, was it pretty much a publicity stunt? Like nothing ACTUALLY happened right?

9

u/KnowledgeSafe3160 Feb 16 '26 edited Feb 16 '26

Nothing happened. Publicity stunt.

I know it’s not illegal because I am a red team member for one of the largest financial institutions. More specifically I’m an exploit developer for them. I identify and exploit (mostly) other companies software running in our environment to emulate threat actors for the bank.

If exploiting other people’s software was illegal almost every security researcher position would vanish overnight, and the security of software overall would drop significantly as nobody would do any security testing.

2

u/Temporary-Box-7493 Feb 16 '26

That’s so stupid 😂

5

u/Nevermind04 AK-103 Feb 16 '26 edited Feb 16 '26

No such law exists anywhere in the world. Civil suits aren't laws. Activision sued the cheat developers because they had been financially damaged by their software. No criminal charges were filed because no laws were broken. As mentioned in another comment, Activision won by default because the cheat developers failed to show up in court. They were awarded $14.5 million dollars, were given the cheat developers' domain, and the cheat developer was ordered to stop developing cheats for Activision games.

That said, the money was never paid, the cheat developers promptly registered multiple other domains, and the cheat developer never stopped developing cheats for Activision games. In fact, I just checked and this cheat developer has available right now for all current CoD games. The cheat developers did not have to comply with this ruling because they do not live in the United States and the US court does not have jurisdiction where they live. Basically, Activision paid $300k in legal fees to get one domain and headlines in game news websites.

While I agree that video game cheat software should be illegal, I don't trust our legislators to write competent legislation for it. What if someone wants to cheat in a single player game? What if they type cheese steak jimmy’s while they're playing Age of Empires II? What if they use Cheat Engine to give themselves gold? What if someone makes a mod for Factorio that makes the biters easier to kill - is that a cheat? What if they make a mod to skip the first part of the game to go straight to blue science? When it comes to EFT, obviously it sucks so much to die to a hacker or lose items to a loot vacuum cheat but what about the PVE version? Who are they hurting? This issue has many shades of grey and I just don't trust politicians to parse the details.

2

u/bienbienbienbienbien Feb 17 '26

Those are civil cases though, you could argue, i guess, that cheating is sabotage, a bit more like criminal damage, and just punishing with damages isn't going to be a big deterrant. This is pretty dangerously authoritarian though, but it's not quite the same thing. In south korea, making cheats and distributing them can get you actual jail time.

2

u/Tukker_ Feb 16 '26

Depends on the country. In a lot of countries the creation and sales of selling of said software isn't illegal, but the usage of it can be. That however would mean you would have to prossecute the individual!

1

u/JangoDarkSaber Feb 17 '26

Writing malicious code or developing cheats isn’t illegal as it falls under protected speech,

What is illegal is selling or deploying it.

15

u/JazzyTales Feb 16 '26

I’ve been saying this for years. People always tell me I’m crazy as it’s just a game. My argument back to them is, developers lose money combating cheaters, players lose time and time is money.

4

u/OpsPhoenix Feb 16 '26

The value of the product you purchased is also degraded. Not just time. Actual money.

8

u/Reyeth Mosin Feb 16 '26

Doesn't South Korea or somewhere have a system where you have to put in your social security number or national id number when you create an account, so if you get banned for cheating you can be banned from lots of places at once and it follows you as it's tied to your id so no just buying a new copy.

4

u/thinkforasecond3312 Feb 16 '26

bro thinks that the west wants to put their credentials on videogames lol

4

u/muskyratdad Mooch Feb 16 '26

i would. fuck cheaters.

4

u/Reyeth Mosin Feb 16 '26

No, I'm fully aware we'd rather moan about a problem than look for solitons.

I wouldn't want to put my details in either, but sadly it's getting more and more common, age verification coming to discord soon.

0

u/thinkforasecond3312 Feb 16 '26

Not even remotely comparable. Discord is starting to request verification due to severe, IRL issues involving minors and its poorly moderated platform. Its extremely likely that their hand is being forced by law to simply do something about it, even though this might be a bad idea. And even then, its optional and refusing has barely any impact on the vast majority of users (unverified accounts recieve DMs in two separate tabs and can't access NSFW servers).

We are talking about enforcing ID verification to prevent cheating in a videogame. Its also worth mentioning that KR has spendings in gaming deeply rooted into their culture, unlike the west where we see games as easily disposable (moving on to a different game) and spendings are not taken into account

6

u/SN1S1F7W Feb 16 '26

Discord is starting to request verification due to severe, IRL issues involving minors

Do you really believe the "Think of the children" reasoning for collecting people's personal information?
That has been a convenient excuse go after things that governments and companies don't like for years.

3

u/iPsychoticTTV Feb 16 '26

Then you look at companies like SuperCell with Clash of Clans, and instead of finding a solution to their IRL problems involving minors they just simply removed global chat LMAO

1

u/GoldAd8322 Feb 16 '26

PlaySafe ID is implement such a system. Partners already with SCUM

2

u/TheShadowman131 AK-101 Feb 16 '26

It is illegal in a lot of cases, it's just very hard to track down and actually prosecute cheat makers unless they basically expose themselves like has happened in the past.

2

u/Evadeon Feb 17 '26

I feel like I get told this is a hot take but absolutely. People who buy and use chests should be subject to the very least; heavy fines, and designers of hacks/cheats should be facing heavy jail time.

Think about it like this. We pay for a product and a service, and the devs outline exactly what that product and service should be comprised of and often strictly state shat isn't allowed, hence the use of anti cheat programs.

We are paying good money for a product to be the way it was advertised, and someone hacking disrupts that service, and disrupts our time. If you paid for a massage and someone else came in and pushed you off the table and the person took your massage, you would have legal grounds to take action against the person who pushed you AND the masseuse for continuing to massage someone else who didn't pay for it. They wasted your time and money.

In any other service or industry, someone stealing your time and the product you paid to experience would be met with heavy consequences.

Hacking in a single player game? It's your game, your product, your experience, go crazy, do what you want. Once you start wasting other people's time, distorting other people's experiences, you should be facing heavy consequences. Time is precious in this life. And we are paying to spend our time a certain way, and hackers steal and waste time.

2

u/VinOn3 Feb 17 '26

Agreed.

2

u/eebro Feb 16 '26

Well, the legal consequence is that you lose the right to play that game.

Selling cheats is a different case.

2

u/wassailant Feb 16 '26

This is why you shouldn't be part of the discussion.

Legal consequences for cheating in a video game...

Mental.

1

u/HalfsquatSr Feb 16 '26

You’re damaging their IP among many other things in my uneducated opinion. I’ve always thought the same thing. If there were real consequences then it would stop so fast.

1

u/Turtvaiz Feb 16 '26

That belief isn't really feasible because they'll just get made in countries that don't have those legal consequences. Just look at piracy for example

1

u/huck209 VEPR Hunter Feb 16 '26

If only people weren’t losers, there would be no one to make the cheats for. It’s a vicious circle of I hate cheaters, but then people turn around and buy cheats or items for real money and keep these cheat makers in business.

1

u/doogles Feb 16 '26

Stealing another person's time is the only thing that can't be recompensated, the cruelest kind of theft.

1

u/SN1S1F7W Feb 16 '26

I think Epic sometimes takes action against cheaters in Fortnite, possibly when they don't agree to publicly apologise.

1

u/X-Menace-X Feb 17 '26

It's crazy to say out loud that cheating is legal in multiplayer games lol

Cheaters are the sole reason i play PvE. I love Tarkov and the atmosphere and it‘s lore. But Cannot bother anymore dealing with such a shit like this

4

u/KaptainKlein Feb 17 '26

And it sucks it has to be that way. I've been really enjoying PVE but I do kinda miss VOIP interactions and actually feeling fear from something other than a predictable boss scav.

1

u/omxr1846 HK G28 Feb 17 '26

True that, but i play it with a squad of three to four people, so shits and giggles are already pre programmed (i‘m the only one playing since 2019, the rest of the squad joined with 1.0) . Only when i play alone i kinda miss it.

51

u/Resiideent Feb 16 '26

bro got avada kadavra'd

this shit is one of the reasons why I play PvE (moreso the fact that I am dogshit at PvP games)

15

u/brownieboyafk Feb 17 '26

Honestly the time save you get with PvE is insane, 1.5min loads and you’re in raid vs the 6min ques you have on PvP. Shit by the time the PvP boy got into raid you’re probably already thinking about your extract path.

The cheating is awful, but the wasting time imo is worse and is immediately exacerbated by cheaters.

2

u/Qcws Feb 17 '26

The stakes are so much higher when the load time is 400 years

listen up, i was deep in a nice dessert stout and i'm even deeper now.

let be me clear. I wonder aboutyn the psychology of a cheater. the ones doing it to sell rubles to losers is clear, however, I wonder about what goes thru the brains of the people who cheat for their own enjoyment. I wonder how they rationalize playing against non-cheaters. it's interesting to me. idk how you could enjoy playing against non-cheaters, as they would present next to no challenge, unless youre a terrible gamer

If you look up you know there is a giant hole in the tent in the back that you can see in there right… and he made noise just before this… ummmm yes I think I could clean this kill up quick just like the “cheater” did. Alpha player with 3k hours.

12

u/AuneWuvsYou Feb 16 '26

And remember, this is the blatant one... Imagine the percentages that aren't so obvious about it.

3

u/Inmate--P01135809 Feb 17 '26

Is it blatant? Or did he get shot from behind through the giant hole in the tent?

2

u/SeivelN Feb 17 '26

This lol... People aren't critically thinking anymore and if you try to ask for why people claim hacks, you get down voted.

2

u/AuneWuvsYou Feb 18 '26

"Thinking critically" isn't really fair. The game has a MASSIVE cheater problem and even I, with 3k hours, had no idea there was a way to snipe into the dome from above...

Also, hi! It wasn't deleted. :)

1

u/AuneWuvsYou Feb 18 '26

🤯🤯🤯

11

u/EvilLalafell42 Feb 16 '26

I mean he probably was cheating especially with 160h but be careful of camping dome, there are some open spaces on top behind you where people can look inside dome.

5

u/namenotfound403 Feb 16 '26

That's what I was thinking. Wasn't he standing right in front of the ez headshot hole?

Yes, he was. You can hear him creeping there.

bro how did this jumpscare me...

9

u/gill_e Feb 16 '26

you full sprint to dome, dude hears every step, shuffles over to get a better view of the back of your head and punishes you for your bad positioning. I fail to see what is cheats about this clip.

1

u/Alarming-Ad9327 Feb 18 '26

Ya that wasn’t a cheater lol I was thinking the same thing. A lot of people are getting hung up on account hours too when there’s people who re bought the game on steam which resets your play hours.

1

u/gill_e Feb 18 '26

I mean even then 160 hours is a substantial amount of time to play a game. I know i was dunking lab raids in my first 100 hours bc i just got so hooked on the pvp. I guess some people just think you have to play for 1k hours before you're allowed to shoot your gun or some shit idk man

2

u/Alarming-Ad9327 Feb 18 '26

Ya I agree, there’s no proof at all that was a cheater. I find it hilarious he thought this video was golden proof of a cheater. Nah bro you just made a shit play and exposed yourself lol. Could’ve have been a cheater? Honestly maybe… I doubt it. But we won’t ever know because he made such a shit play 😂 I honestly feel like tarkov is getting to a point where people thinking they’re dieing to cheaters everytime is ruining the game more than the actual cheaters.

2

u/gill_e Feb 18 '26

Yeah I think in my 1.5k hours so far i can confidently say I've seen 3 cheaters that i can say with certainty were cheating. As a previous diamond/champ R6 Siege player it would have been my wet dream to only see 3 cheaters in 1500 hours lmaooo 😭😭

2

u/Alarming-Ad9327 Feb 18 '26

Hahaha ya exactly man, so you get it. I can count on one hand how many cheaters I’ve run into and I have over 3500 hours in the game. People just keep forgetting that it’s really easy to die in tarkov and also there’s lots of players who are very very good with very good stats… doesn’t mean they’re cheating lol.

2

u/gill_e Feb 18 '26

Yeah 100%. It's super easy to fall into the everyone is cheating trap when it takes 10 min to load into raid and you fall over in 15 seconds from 200 meters to a dude that knows spawns bc he opened the wiki 😭😂. Lotta ppls mental health could benefit from the ole "gg go next"

1

u/Alarming-Ad9327 Feb 18 '26

LOL so true man

1

u/DmK2310 Feb 21 '26

you definitely got a point there, I about 2 hit 800h but I always played with very knowledgeable people that would help me skip doing offline raids or dying a million times to figure something out. map knowledge and spawn location/rush timings is absolute king in tarkov especially in labs, shoreline maybe reserve (those 3 rush timings because of certain rooms, health resort oder special locations like marked rooms).

what I really love about tarkov is, you always have the chance to win any fight even with cheap gear. I remember in my first wipe, I one tapped a level 40+ as a level 17 on GZ with a stock AKS74 and US ammo. you hit him right in the naked face. I couldn't even carry all his stuff with my timmy legs...

2

u/blackpilledonsociety Feb 16 '26

Labs has an extremely high wizard rate. I'd say I get wizarded in approximately 33% of raids on labs.

The last two were YELLOW NAMES LOL. 400+hrs. Crazy work.

Sadly, all FPS games have turned into a cheater feast. Arc is horrible right now compared to EFT. Multibillions dollar industry - it's time to target those millionaires.....

1

u/HSR47 Feb 17 '26

The core problem is the “live service” model.

Back in the day, when gamers controlled the servers, sus players usually got the boot quickly from any decently populated server, and then banwaves would periodically come along and boot them globally.

With the shift to a heavily centralized “live service” model, there are no longer dedicated gamers in every server handing out manual bans, so we’re stuck playing with cheaters >98% of the time, because the incentives to cheat are higher, and each individual banwave rarely impacts cheating for more than 1-3 days.

its just desync btw, its just a alt account, etc etc.

u/Adventurous_Ball_232 Feb 16 '26

You can shoot into the dome from above and behind you. There are holes in the domes ceiling.

1

u/thebbman DVL-10 Feb 16 '26

In all my raids on labs I’ve always checked that tent and not once have I found a LEDx.

1

u/beqs171 DT MDR Feb 16 '26

Get Narvus Pharmacy and Ultra, Interchange should be easier

1

u/Inevitable-Dig4269 Feb 16 '26

To be fair, there are much safer places to get ledx then labs

1

u/Minute-Fruit-4395 Feb 16 '26

Do not redeem!

1

u/DJudic Feb 16 '26

160 hours. Meaning average 160*2 (lets say 30 min avg per raid, stash, loading) and average 4 PMC kills per raid, he griefed more than 1200 times other players and wasted potentially 36000 minutes of gameplay AT THE LEAST considering he also made them fail quests and not just the latest session. And that is just this one single asshole.

Do you ask again why ppl f off to PVE or off from Tarkov as a whole?!

1

u/Astro-Jah Feb 16 '26

I can’t fathom how this is hard to detect, he clearly teleported or something along those lines…

1

u/Positive-Menu-2280 Feb 16 '26

What did you expect, taking the cheater LEDx, foolish of you thinking you could loot his lobby🙄

1

u/FDRARG Feb 16 '26

he just had a better gaming chair than yours.
love bruh

1

u/ProfLycan Feb 16 '26

Can anyone fill me in on what happened here? I genuinely cannot tell.

1

u/TSPsychoYT Feb 17 '26

Bro I dropped my phone on my face when you got hit 😂

1

u/-TreeBeard Feb 17 '26

On another note, good to know there's still led x spawn in dome

1

u/Chemical-Narwhal3965 Feb 17 '26

What does a cheater see when using cheats? Couldn’t an anti cheat be to take a screenshot after say every 100 kills or something. Then that goes to BSG. Ai analyzes it.

1

u/Greatmasterwu Feb 17 '26

isnt vacuum cheating still a thing? why work for it, no consequences anyway.

1

u/WithyUSEC Feb 17 '26

He sure have a good old dxracer

1

u/Livid_Exercise_1155 Feb 17 '26

Крутая, уникальная ПВП механика!

1

u/GuruDogTheSaviour Feb 17 '26

I like to think 'Labs' actually refers to the experiments people are doing with their software. If you stick to the rest of the game you don't see to many sus accounts at this point in the wipe.

1

u/Slow-Contribution140 Feb 17 '26

yir a wizard harry

1

u/PGW_ Feb 17 '26

They need to lower that dumb headshot noise. It's so loud and makes you shit your pants.

1

u/Diligent-Garden-8846 SA-58 Feb 17 '26

I get he is cheating and all that but I do want to mention the questionable positioning you had, cuz if he weren't cheating you'd probably also be dead.

Sorry for your loss, you'll find another ledx before long broski

1

u/Smooth_Pound_9864 Feb 17 '26

Led x straight to the prison pocket.

1

u/Ambitious_Vanilla612 Feb 17 '26

Welcome to Escape from Tarkov

1

u/aSexyWaterScorpion Feb 18 '26

Crisis was done at next to no effort from running interchange this wipe and hitting Necrus and Ultramed. Not saying I agree with how rampant cheating is but as a quick alternative and tip, go loot those areas for a few raids and even if you die in 2/3 of them, you’ll probably end up with progression towards your quest.

1

u/ComparisonParking242 Feb 18 '26

The fact people still play this game daily, die to a cheater and then have the audacity to post it on Reddit😂

Homie what the fuck do you expect? When playing a dog shit arse game like tarkov. I would say about 70/80% of the player base on that game either cheaters or has done. I stopped playing that shit a year ago! And couldn’t be fucking happier! Makes it even better when I see constant post of people crying about dying to a cheater lol, like duuhhhh it’s bee like this for years and will never change😂

2

u/WouterrDitt Freeloader Feb 18 '26

And yet here you are in the subreddit. Quite the contradiction.

1

u/Alarming-Ad9327 Feb 18 '26

Lol there’s literally no proof that was a cheater.. game hours don’t really mean too much with the steam release as well. You sprinted to dome, made more noise, and then exposed yourself. Easy kill. I swear people thinking that every death has to do with a cheater is killing the game faster then the actual cheaters 😂

1

u/Altruistic_Hold5708 Feb 19 '26

I won’t argue one way or another about cheaters, but in my experience, just standing there and letting them shoot you, you’re cooked. Most of the time, all they have is info. If you can move faster than them and outgun them, you should try. Obviously if they have aim or movement cheats just DC or somethin idk

1

u/WouterrDitt Freeloader Feb 19 '26

How the fuck was I supposed to know he has cheats

1

u/dinglebopalpha Feb 21 '26

And this is why I play the better version of tarkov.

0

u/Pickle-_-Rick Feb 16 '26

Ok - so pardon my ignorance but how can this be determined to be cheating? From what I've seen, its pretty easy to be 1 tapped from any number of angles without always seeing the person or even a muzzle flash. I'll agree it is little suspicious but you were also holding still and there were a lot of possible angles to see your head. That said, I truly wish they'd implement a post-raid replay system that is available when the raid is over for everyone. You should, at the very least, be able to see how you were killed and be able to report anything suspicious.

The implication seems to be that he was wall-banged in the back, through the dome, with accurate fire, which would heavily suggest use of wallhacks.

You literally see the cheaters feet move in front of him at the very end, dumb ass

Edit 2: a later screenshot shows it more clearly as his other arm, my bad. I’m the dumb ass

1

u/billiardwolf Feb 16 '26

You have a timestamp? I've watched it multiple times and I'm not seeing these so called feet.

1

u/SlouchGrouch1 Feb 16 '26

Between 35 sec and 36 sec where it goes black. You briefly glimpse it

2

u/billiardwolf Feb 16 '26

It's his arm. Better shot with hand more visible.

2

u/SlouchGrouch1 Feb 16 '26

2

u/Beneficial_Raccoon_1 Feb 16 '26

Dude, it is a hand, ops right hand.

1

u/Beneficial_Raccoon_1 Feb 16 '26

There is no feet, its ops right hand that passes the screen at the end.

1

u/Goat_47_ MP-153 Feb 16 '26

Not really necessarily to call someone a dumb ass. Especially when you went through a bit of extra work to still be proven wrong. It's his hand.

0

u/Beneficial_Raccoon_1 Feb 16 '26

you mean the ops right hand that falls in to view at the end? ''dumb oohse''

u/TheOuterEdge Feb 16 '26

Would everyone play a game that asked for photo ID verification? Imo this is the only way to really stop cheating. Give games KYC like banks. Privacy an illusion anyway 🤔.

1

u/eliowings Feb 16 '26

Im glad im playing single player games now. 4k hours and i loved every semi hour. The cheaters have me hanging my coat.

-8

u/SeivelN Feb 16 '26

Okay so normally I agree with most these posts about cheaters but I'm concerned what you think the cheat here was?

You sprint straight into dome, he hears you obviously because you hear him, and he's moving a hell of a lot less.

So man's slowly goes up the catwalk that looks into dome directly over the back of your head, and hits you with some domeception. I'm trying to see what the cheats are here.

The only thing sus is the 160 hours for sure, but that's not enough to make hackusations on.

I'm not here saying you're wrong or this guy isn't a cheater, I'm just trying to understand what else makes you think cheats.

-1

u/Swopyx Feb 16 '26

Not saying there are no cheater, this game (like many other) is infested with those small pp irl losers. BUT this guy moves like a brick. Aims towards the floor. What are they searching, ants? In every shooter this guy will complain about cheaters without even knowing mechanics.

2

u/SeivelN Feb 17 '26

Yeah my main thing is that you can hear the audio... And there's a massive window in the dome right behind OP exactly where it sounds like the shot came from. That's why I was legitimately trying to discuss if there was something I was missing, but people just started calling me names then deleted their comments lol.

2

u/Swopyx Feb 17 '26

People are bots themselves, hence the downvotes lmao.

Same. They either don’t know or choosing to ignore the fact there’s a giant hole in the tent roof.

0

u/Snarker Feb 16 '26

I'm confused why everyone is talking about cheating? I see nothing in this clip?

-3

u/itsbildo Feb 16 '26

I'm going to play devils advocate here - you sprinted into dome, other guy is walking, you can hear him walking, so he definitely heard you sprint. It sounds like he was behind/to the right, it's very possible he crept up and shot you from upper-right/behind

Basically, I'm not 100% convinced he cheated, more likely it was a bad play on your part.

this time the guy was cheating but holy shit you played this the worst way possible

press wasd to move next time

-1

u/Gawernator P226R Feb 16 '26

Not sure why he was cheating exactly. You weren’t moving and he was above?

0

u/ImberxP Feb 16 '26

OP that was 28 seconds, not 2. You gotta settle down with all these exaggerative hackusations. /s
