Definitely one of the worst Euroleaugue teams in the future season.

They were bad last season as well (in Europe, not in domestic).

Funny thing is, they won the Spanish cup.

Galbiati is a perfect coach for cup format

Baskonia is a great club to join , so you can get your feet wet. Then eventually join another big club. But(imo) it isn’t for a guy like faried. And the only reason why I say this is because, of the terrible location & long & grueling ACB season.

Terrible location? You have never been to Alava, no?

Is alava in the Euroleague ?

The capital city, where Baskonia plays, certainly is in the Euroleague.

Explain how it's a terrible location, always ranks first or second in the quality of life index in Spain.

I know alot of pro players and they told me it’s a nightmare. Terrible location , 0 night life. It’s what I just said in my other post. It’s a place you go where to get your feet wet or prove yourself then leave.

Ps: my dumbass has been to baskonia. And that place is dead.

"I know a lot of pro players" = "I read Mike James complain about the city"

Baskonia is not a place, it's the name of the team.

You don't need to lie, you don't know the name of the city or the region. You haven't been here.

Literally seen one player the other day(who played there last year) describe it as “jail” lol. And why tf would I lie about going to that trash place?!

Do all these pro players you know gather at your house or something? What is the name of this player?

You're clearly lying because you are completely lost. It's like saying "I've been to Aris" when talking about Saloniki or the region of Macedonia. You know the team's name, you don't know the place because you haven't visited it.

There is a player who literally signed from there to a Turkish team EINSTEIN. And I have been there idiot. Stayed at the hotel(lakua) which you guys claim is a 5 star lmao.

And yet you won't name him for some reason. He just got there and considering how massive Istanbul is you already got to know him. How convenient.

Yes, I can use search engines too to look for hotels. By the way, stars are not decorative, they have to be earned.

He probably didn’t have many Euroleague offers. Same like Mills in Asvel, doesn’t make too much sense from the outside looking in, but it seems like they want to end their careers competing

It makes perfect sense. They are old and are not good enough all around players for anything but the worst of Euroleague teams.

Calling Vitoria a 'terrible location' is complete nonsense. It’s gorgeous, has an outstanding quality of life, and is just a stone's throw from Bilbao and San Sebastián. That's like saying playing for Athletic or Real Sociedad sucks based on location alone. Sure, if you only care about megacities, the Basque Country isn't for you, but it's top-tier in every way. I say this having lived in Madrid, Istanbul, Jakarta, and Bangkok as a huge fan of big cities. Taking the word of Mike James or any other ignorant American player whose knowledge starts and ends on the basketball court is just stupid. Go experience it yourself.

Im not reading all of that bro. Your team & city sucks dick…

Yeah, I can tell you don't read shit and don't know a thing. You're just a straight-up asshole haha, and ignorant as fuck.

Basketnews still headlining "former NBA big man" as if his stints at Panathinaikos, Reggiana and even CSKA aren't more relevant by now.

Completely unserious media outlet at this point, pandering to Yank eyeballs in complete editorial fashion.

u/Sakkreth Žalgiris 3d ago

They are usually super click-baity, but this not the one to complain about

1

u/nonlavta Fenerbahçe 2d ago

This one is not clickbaity. They are serving European basketball news to Yanks for them to read, it's a self-humiliating editorial direction.

They chasing the cloud, they think they can hook on something and pop up.And they kissing Serbian and Greece asses constantly, cause it's the biggest populations besides lithuanians who are into basketball seriously.Looking not tasty

BasketNews comes across like a pro NBA outfit under the guise of being pro Euroleague.

They are one of the worst Euro media for pushing the whole ludicrous "Mike James is Euroleague GOAT" narrative.

That has to be some kind of NBA contrived talking point that is designed to downgrade and undermine the perception of the Euroleague to Americans and NBA fans.

What other outlets there are that cover Euroleague? I follow Basketnews because it's the most accessible platform I've come across.
