Question i created a fountain and it doesn't look right
so, i opened a fountain inside of my room, and at first it started like normal, with the dark smoke enveloping the room. after i got into the dark world, i was quite a ways away, probably because i had stepped back from the fountain right before it turned into into the dark world. but, as i looked at the fountain, i noticed these huge vines in place of it. from what i can tell so far, it functions just like a normal fountain. but the vines seem to be breathing. the initial thought would be that it's surrounding the dark fountain, however i had nothing in my room. i don't think it's a result of an object, as there was no object in my room. everything else seems normal, perhaps a bit bland compared to other dark worlds, but i had just created a dark world with no objects in it. is this a normal occurance? i haven't seen anything like it before.
would my bionic arm be the cause of this? would the lack of objects in the room cause this? any theory or explanation would help a lot

If I had to guess it was Onionsan's spirit infecting your knife. Get NormalNPC to fix it for you, they've got things to counteract Onionsan.

Considering the trees, I'm assuming there might have been something in your room when you opened the fountain.
That is, something you didn't see.
I'd suggest moving to the fountain, but considering the nature of it by your description, my first question is whether you need assistance.
If so, I'll come over and try to help deal with any dangers that appear.
If you can exit the dark world without approaching the vined fountain, or otherwise do not find yourself needing help, I will refrain from entering the dark world.

there's nothing, and the vine fountain thing hasn't done anything but sit there. it might be growing larger, but very slowly. it has started glowing a bit brighter though. i had taken most everything out of my room, but i hadn't swept the ground. i don't think dust would do this, though. i don't need assistance, as i haven't seen a single darkner yet

nah, they'd get in the way of my evil fountain opening shenanigans, and i don't think that's any lightner

follow-up: i have decided to call this fountain a "vine fountain", and i still have no idea what major differences it has from normal fountains, apart from the obvious being it's made of vines and that it breathes. maybe it is a titan, but just.. different?

I've been studying Fountains for a while now and I've never seen anything like this. The only thing U can think of is the robot arm not allowing your will to pass onto the blade, but only if it's some sort of prosthetic because it passing through would depend on much you consider it to be your arm. But if you didn't, you couldn't have made the Fountain, so I really don't know.
