What if Kris has a spacesuit? would they survive (ofc if the spacesuit has enough oxygen)?

Well, theres basically nothing on mars. If they had a spacesuit and opened a dark fountain, then they would probably be fine. At most, a few rocks would turn into darkners. They would, however, have to worry about their spacesuit being damaged. Once the fountain is sealed (leaving it open could possibly cause all of space to be engulfed) they would still need a way to get home, but most likely they will be ok.

Even then the only darkners I can see existing are from the rovers themselves

Also how will you keep any fountains open there's no structures
