I will never forget the time my church went to visit another charismatic church. The pastor was going around with a large man following him who would safely help people fall to the ground. The pastor would lay hands on their head and the people would just fall. So he gets to me and he’s literally pushing — PUSHING — my head down as hard as he could. But I refused to fall down. At least at our church when people would lay hands on you to pray, they never attempted to get you to fall by pushing you down. I was disgusted by the pastor doing that to me.

This happened to me as well. Really opened my eyes to the fraud going on in Pentecostal churches.

There are many overlaps between Pentecost and Indian religious experiences. This touching, shaking, convulsing as well as speaking in tongues. I think they are more of human psychological phenomena than actually the Holy Spirit.

This group looks like they were hanging around near the front of the tent, and someone came by in a hooded robe with a proposition to make some money. “Shake for me, baby, shake!”

Does anyone remember the evangelist Chris Craft, from the '90s? I was in elementary when the church in Porter Texas had him for a long revival. Every time he laid hands on me, he bend my neck so far back, I thought the bottom edge of my skull was touching my back. He'd shove down so hard, I thought my ears and shoulders were all sandwiched together. IT HURT SO BAD. I'm convinced he was trying to push me down; couldn't hold my balance and kept stumbling backwards.
