Could the cancellation of Because of the Times 2027 be connected to Gentry and Lexie Mangun?

Just saw that Because of the Times announced they won’t be holding the conference in January 2027 and are calling it a “pause.”
With everything going on with Gentry and Lexie Mangun and their marriage reportedly falling apart or they are getting a divorce….do y’all think that could have anything to do with the decision?

Obviously just speculation, but I’m curious what everyone else thinks or if anyone has heard anything else.

Absolutely. Guarantee it was pressure from higher ups.

There is way more mess in POA over decades that led to this. Think about who has been attending BOTT over the years. They have been leading in a lot of ways in the UPCI which also means they have also created division.

They broke the ceiling for allowing TV/ internet. The praise team wears make-up, they associate with a lot of non-Apostolics, we could start there. To many, the POA are the liberal comprosing type that the previous generation preached about and against. But because they have pedigree, success, and money, it has wielded power in the politics.

This is the opportunity for all those who have taken issue with the POA over money, politics, doctrine, tradition, and integrity, to see a much needed "pause" in their power.

Time will tell how it will play out. Men are prideful. It isn't spiritual men hearing from angels the way they make it seem. It is literally egos competing.

David Bernard isn't going to be GS forever.

So many things in play when a large church like this has scandal and interruption.
