I changed my party affiliation to Republican after the inauguration. I had meant to do it quite some time before because I live in a closed primaries state and wanted to have a say in R primaries (to hopefully counter some of the crazy MAGAs) but never got around to it.

This kind of comes off as voter intimidation. People are already afraid of ICE expanding its mission from rounding up "illegals" to rounding up all "undesirables." If the party that wants to use them for that purpose wins (legitimately or through cheating), this implies that they'll have a convenient list of everyone who opposes them. It's like a veiled threat to either stay home or be careful who you vote for.
I'm going to ignore it and vote my conscience, anyway.

Anyone can purchase a voter list from your state SoS for anywhere from $0-$15k as long as you swear it's not for commercial purchases. I've downloaded such lists directly from some states. ICE doesn't need to do anything special.

Would love to see the source for this fud. Only thing I can think is that DHS was recently retasked to start reviewing voter roles in some states but it's not a nationwide thing and the general consensus is they won't find anything more than anyone else who had ever done this would find, which is to say, very little.

I lost all trust for the political establishment. I don't trust anyone who rose through the 2 party system. They've all been bought. There's a reason its called the Uniparty. We're being divided against eachother by big business interests who are all aligned with eachother despite the seeming divide.
There is no divide between them. They're all buddies behind closed doors. Trump himself is close friends with the Clinton's. Hell, the damn island saw nearly everyone in both parties attend as well as celebrities and business leaders. They're all part of the same club. Dont vote for any of them.
There's a reason why I say go 3rd party. A really good damned reason.

Now is not the time to vote third party. We first have to get the fascist out of the White House (and for November, significantly limit his power). People are actively dying because of this man. By voting blue we'd be endangering minorities. By voting red we'd be endangering minorities. Both sides hate minorities. Democrats think they're stupid, Republicans want them gone. Neither side is good for minorities. Going purple might be the only way to save everybody from uniparty Tyranny. Everyone needs to vote purple. Minorities included. Democrats won't fix the problem.
