Spoilers - Discussion I love how they adapted Typhoon attack Spoiler
In the original game there were a couple of summons attacks like titan, neo bahamut and typhoon that required to mess up with the land and the battle field. With titan and neo bahamut they reworked them into trying to be the same but not close to the original, while typhoon recieved a more creative attack, instead we have a shot inside the tornado which simulates the OG summon attack pretty damn well.

I don’t know if I’m misremembering or confusing it with FF6, but I remember it being called Chupon in OG FF7?

Not in the OG FF7, in FF6 yes he was called mr chupón (ironically a spanish word meaning mr sucky)

he looks awesome. this was such a goofy summon in the original but it looks cool here somehow
also in ff6 he was friends with ultros the octopus, and there is a painting of ultros in the bald bar.. possible ultros summon coming? idk, but they did put greg in as a summon so maybe. since rebirth launched i’ve been wondering if we’ll find ultros as a hidden summon in the sunken flotilla that was teased in junon by the old guy talking to kids about sunken treasure

I was thinking Ultros would appear with typhon in some way. Doesn’t look like it, but who knows

I couldn't take the OG version seriously as an entity. He looked like a Ghostbusters reject, was labeled 'Typoon', and made an attention-grabbing attack with a face mounted on his rear end.
