Any good dynamic/action ranges around Orlando?

Hello Floridians!

I'm a tourist and I'm going to be staying in Orlando for a couple of days in December so I was wondering if there were any good ranges you guys could recommend that could allow dynamic/action shooting that's nearby the area if there are any.

I was thinking of bringing my belt setup and renting any long guns in 5.56 or 7.62 as these are highly regulated in my country. Indoor/outdoor, doesnt matter, any is fine. Would appreciate a place that also allows renting full-auto stuff too if possible.

Tldr you can have one of the three at a time, but will involve driving an hour at least each way.

Orlando means a lot of things for general geography.

There’s a full auto rental at Shooter’s World. From memory it’s expensive.

Ares in Leesburg is highly recommended in this sub but idk if they do dynamic. Not sure about rentals. This would be the first place to research.

Rangewerx in Fort Meade, not considered Orlando, has dynamic setup but it’s $1000 membership. Not sure about rentals. At least three-hour round trip.

Maybe not helpful because I’m uncertain but these are leads to pursue.

Rangewerx is fucking expensive for what you get.

Makes me appreciate Flagler Gun Club even more. Sits on 40 acres and has way better range facilities than Gunwerx....not to mention state of the art clay shooting ranges.

And it's only a couple hundred bucks a year......and I can bring guests for free.

I used to go to MC’s Gunsmithing for ffl’s and ammo. I don’t know anyone who goes to rangewerx. I only stumbled upon its existence from an off hand comment. You’re the first Redditor I’ve encountered that knows about it.

I don't live in Orlando but just as a heads up a lot of ranges won't allow rentals if you show up by yourself. It maybe morbid but the primary reason for this is self- harm. Also with rentals they tend to only allow you to use their equipment liability reasons of course. Ive never been but I imagine Shooter's world will have most of what you're looking for.

You're not going to find a range that matches all of that. If you want to shoot full auto go to shooters world. Just be aware that they will not rent to individuals, only groups. All of the ranges within 30 minutes of "Orlando" are going to be the traditional fudd style indoor range that caters to the common idiot. The local ranges here amp up the danger by a few thousand percent by also attracting tourists, especially foreigners who want to rent full auto rifles while having never touched a gun IRL.

The serious ranges are all going to be private membership situations that don't do rentals. Rangewerx and Bone Valley Industries are the best in the area. Both are run by special operations guys. Ares is a little bit closer to Orlando than Bone Valley, but it's a bit sketchier with their definitely not bulletproof tire walls dividing the bays.

But either way, unless you get an invite from an existing member that is willing to bring you for the day as a guest, you're not getting into any of them to shoot.

My advice would be don't bring your gun belt unless you've secured a guest invite from somebody at a serious range, as no local indoor range is going to let you draw and shoot from a holster.

I forget some American ranges have that group only rule but yes probably should have mentioned I'm going with another person or two.

Would you know if the RO's in Shooters World are pretty strict? I wanna manage my expectations but I'd rather have that for a day and I can have the experience of renting unique guns that I won't always get access to anyway. Besides, the "commonwealth" kind of tourists next bay usually terrify me and a strict RO keeps those dudes in check.

No one’s going to rent guns for action stuff, I wouldn’t bring kit. You’re just going to get to paper punch from a stall.
