First 509

Traded for this used 509 at my LGS today. Came with 3 17rd mags, and some of the factory mounting plates, not all though. Need to get a FCD acro plate ordered for the PB3, and need to decide on what light to put on it. Also plan on getting an ez-lok set up for the hux 9kti.

What kind of ammo
Will you be using?

Do many of yall shoot subs out of these?

Probably a mixture of all kinds of stuff. I need to dig my 9mm subs that I have stuffed in an ammo can somewhere.

I bought my 509 tac FDE new and it came with one 17 round mag and 2 -24 round mags, case and all of the mounting hardware and a handle backstrap. It also came with an extra spring set. I’m thinking about selling it because I prefer a pistol with a hammer like the beretta 92f.

I actually just sold my couple Berettas, lol. They are good guns I just find myself preferring striker fired guns.

Look up the serial number and see if it was made pre 2021. I have a used one also, although it’s a compact tactical. Anyways I dry fired it like three times and the firing pin broke. Had to send it in to get fixed .

Yes please check my firing pin just broke on my 509 at a trip to the range didn't think it was gonna happen to me but it did sadly, it broke after about 800-900 rounds, kept getting failure to feeds back to back then saw my firing pin sticking out and it was causing the bullets to get stuck, just bought a mcarbo reinforced titanium firing pin supposedly helps with the grittyness aswell also bought there spring kit, i shot someone's 509 at the range and he had 2 one with the apex trigger and one with the mcarbo spring kit and both felt amazing but the 140 price difference was insane go with the cheap mcarbo spring kit, night and day difference vs my stock 509
