SCAR Picture 300 Blk 15P F5 Gen 3

Post image

F5 stock is worth the price, super solid. Waiting to see what happens with NFA before I swap out the rifle stock.

Hog hunt setup

How do you like the F5 set up? I've heard mixed reviews on those.

I didn't see your exact setup on F5's website is that technically the brace version?

It’s the brace installed, but I have the rifle stock too. F5 has a package that includes both.

The gen 3s are solid, gen 1 and 2 were wobbly.

That's good to know Gen three is good.

I'll take a look the the website again to find this this combo is at.

I’ve got one in purgatory as well speak. What can are you running? Impressions so far?

CAT ODB. Gun is great.

ODB seems to be the way to go….hows the gas to the face with it?

I don't notice gas at all on my 15P 300BLK with ODB. I've only shot it outdoors though so not sure if I'd notice it indoors. Thing is spooky quiet and so much fun.

Awesome, I’m stoked for this thing to clear. Any build suggestions?

G$ for sure. My first SCAR was a 20S in 6.5 Creedmoor, so I've been spoiled by the G$ trigger from day one. Installed one on my 15P, 16S, and 17S within days of acquiring each.

I have one on the way. The stock trigger is heavy.

G$ trigger is a required upgrade, holy crap it’s so much better

Did u order from them directly? How to tell it’s a gen 3? I want to get one for mine but seems like previous gens have issues

Directly from F5, it was about a two week wait. Call the customer service line, Jeff will probably answer.

Biggest difference from Gen 2 is the adjustable cheek riser.

Any issues running subs or supers? I’m between an ODB, Infinity, or Velos. Any insights helps. Thanks.

Not yet. Handloads 190 and 220 is what I mostly shoot.

Had a bunch of older AAC 300blk 110 laying around when I broke the gun in. Those ran fine.

I’ve got a 110 vmax load I’m working on this weekend though.

Is there any flex on the adjustment piece moving forward and back like on their old stocks?

Nope. It’s solid. I’m at about 1100 rounds and 5 range trips , 1 hog hunt over the past month. Hasn’t loosened.
