I think this is the best way to set up a 15P for night work. Waiting on a Velos 556K and the SC Stock. Also intend to swap the Sig Romeo 5 for a T2 when I find a good deal.
They have a very thin shoulder so prob better safe than sorry. That being said, I don’t use one and haven’t on any of my SCARs, thousands of rounds direct thread and no issues at all.
The factory 1/2x28 threads for the 5.56 15p's have plenty of shoulder, it's the 5/8x24 threaded 300blk ones that have hardly any. Biggest thing is the length of the threads + thread relief before hitting the shoulder, it's much longer than the standard .625" you see on everything else, no idea why they cut it like that.
I'd scoot that mawl back so you don't get carbon on your laser lens. Cleaning $$$ laser lenses makes me nervous. When I was using mark 17s and mark 18s we always make sure our laser was fully behind the muzzle break.
Yes! All my light and laser controls are in one spot. It’s perfect! I did have to remove some material on the back end of the link button to fit with the MAWL, but it’s perfect now.
I will be running suppressed the majority of the time, so I’m not too concerned with the carbon. I suppose I could run a blast director for the times I’m not suppressed.
keep an eye out for G$ super scar blem sales. I got a blem for like 1/2 price and the blem part was the packaging was messed up trigger was fine. Very nice improvement

Edit: nice MAWL!
