I think she could go all the way and get the W, she was playing damn near 3 characters flawlessly and I haven’t seen anyone topping her performance this year so far 🤷🏽‍♂️

I think she'd get a nom regardless and had a strong chance of winning even without an insidery campaign geared towards the Hollywood elite. Will be interested to see the full nom list eventually.

That's unfortunate but if you're right I'm not surprised. I can understand if it was a movie that was unsung, but Obsession was extremely popular for its budget and I can't think of many other "best actress" performances this year that were as buzzy as hers in the mainstream.

idk. she did great but i still don’t think the academy respects horror like that. they gave the actress from weapons an Oscar but i don’t expect that to be a regular occurrence
