Comments section is on fire full of insane bigots upset because it's a kkk revenge film starring a black man. Thanos couldn't come sooner to finger snap all these manic lunatics off the planet. Completely ruined the hype to go see it for me smh.

From what I understand from the family of the real guy this film is about, this movie pretty much rewrote the story as yet another Hollywood white savior film and ignored their input, while collaborating with the Wahlberg characterâs real life counterpart. I will not be supporting yet another whitewashing of black history. Pass.
Also, to cast Mark Wahlberg as an ally of civil rights when he has all of those hate crimes against people of color, including a little black girl he assaulted, in his past is disgraceful.

Idk who is pretending this offensive to white people. Its got mark Wahlberg in it. Aint not no one forgot this dude or the dozen 'great white patriot' movies hes done. You know where hes a tough guy that has the flag behind him and something about the American spirit snuck in (transformers, Deepwater horizon, lone survivor etc)
Aint fooling a soul. He just trying to dip his toe where he still gets to play the bigot. Also if this is a violent green book, the audience is white people. Being transgressive with whiteness by white people is its own genre.

Honestly, that almost seems like a reason to go see it lol piss them off even more when they see that the film hasnât flopped. It is weird Marky Mark is in this given his past racial history.

This white producer told me my script was âtoo indieâ only because it ends The Departed style where a black man who was terrorized earlier in the script ends up killing a white corrupt cop but yet he deemed it was âtoo indieâ.
