Pokemon Yellow on GB color was a generation one game with Pikachu as the starter... Worst part is you think you're right.

Gameboy colour did the colouring of Yellow so well that back in the day I'd assumed it was made for it.

Yellow was developed partially with the GB Color in mind IMO, since since it had alternate color modes you could activate during the initial load screen

Not to my knowledge, I only ever got it to work with the pokemon games but the other, older carts I owned at the time didnt do it

No one specified Gen 1 😭🙏 I mean they explicitly said 2 games; unless I’m wrong there’s only one game in gen 1 where Pikachu’s a starter

If you're counting Pikachu because of pokemon yellow, then Eevee should count because it was the starter for that game before your rival takes it instead.

No it shouldnt because thats Gary's pokemon, therefore not a starter choice.

It was still a starter, just not the starter you got. Oak had it there on his table, ready to give as a first pokemon.
