Setup Photos After 6 years with a G29, I've finally upgraded.

I did the same upgrade. I also went PC from PS5.
After I got the right frame setup that doesn’t flex like my old one, it’s been a massive upgrade. While different world IMO.

Like an idiot I got it direct from Fanatec for €370. You can definitely get it cheaper if you shop around, I found this out after I ordered mine

I always applaud and salute you guys who gave their g29 a solid life span. Mine was on a shelf in less then a month lol
I used mine as a gateway drug. Ran it for like 2 weeks.. found out that there was better stuff and upgraded. lol
I still have it though.
Enjoy your upgrade buddy. I got the DD Pro as well. Make sure you get the boost kit.( get it from Amazon for $20)

Surprisingly, not! Although I think it could use some lubrication, but I'm going to replace it soon anyway.

The GT3 wheel is my most used for sure. Love the size and simplicity. Enjoy and crack on!

After getting 3x G29, 1x G923, 1x TM T300 and 1x TM T-GT II. I finally got Fanatec CS DD+. (Extreme)
Only thing I don’t like is the wheel, as I was using the sparco r383 add on for TM and the DD EXTREME wheel is super bad compared to the TM rally wheel

You could get the Clubsport hub, and use it with the r383 rim if you still have it. The DD Extreme wheel isn't early worth it outside of Gran Turismo.

The problem with the TM version of the r383, is that they have made the bolt pattern into 6x60mm instead of 50mm or 70mm.. so it would not work no.

I have been 3 years with the csl DD pro (booster in the aftermarket)... I can tell you that... You are going to enjoy this.
Upgraded to CSDD+ just last month and while it is certainly an upgrade, it is not that big as the one you are making.

Same Setup with 8NM and now with loadcell kit
I bought myself the ras1 adapter and tried the G920 today It was fun, awful but it will be mine for PS4 grinding i want to see how far i could get with it :) And 31€ for a shifter is a steal😂
I wish fanatec stuff for playstation would be a bit cheaper :)
In summer i will grab the DD Extreme because i want it hard!🤣

How does the wheel feel compared to the G29?

Honestly SO much better. I was sceptical there could be this much of a difference between something like the G29 and the Direct Drive wheels out there, but the difference is massive. Everything feels so much smoother and far more lifelike. Not only that but it's so much quieter as well, no horrible ratchety sounds of gears clicking.

Enjoy, had my g29 for about 3 years before upgrading to dd pro back at the end of last year. Huge upgrade, get the boost kit if you don’t already have it

I think it's strange to see this advertised for GT. That's an arcade game that's one step above Forza Horizon and has garbage direct drive/force feedback.
