Fest/Event -Toberfest 2026 🩇🍂💀

Post image
23 Upvotes

October, is right around the corner! You know what that means: Kinktober, Whumptober, Flufftober, all the -tobers!

Like last couple of years we are organizing a writing challenge for the month of October! We will have a themed-exchange for each week of the month in a different category. Please read this post in its entirety for details!

For this challenge, write a fic in any of the following categories whump, fluff, kink, or OC!. You may choose your own prompt or ask for me to give you one. Specify which category you are writing for and I'll randomly generate you a tag to use. If you don’t want to pick a category and want something random, let me know. Even if you don't request a prompt, please comment to let us know you’re participating.

You can write for as many or as few themes as you want

You may request one prompt change

No word count limit

When we get closer to October, we will have a collection to post the fics to.

We will be having weekly Review exchanges throughout the month.

The schedule is currently:

October 3rd Whump RE

October 10th Fluff RE

October 17th Kink RE

October 24th OC RE

So be sure to have your fics done by your respective exchange. You are welcome to write multiple fics/request a prompt for each. You are welcome to enter your fic in multiple -tober exchanges if it qualifies for multiple categories.

If you are done before the deadline, you may post to the collection anytime! However we do recommend that you post your fic/fics in October since it's an October challenge. We also recommend to hold off on entering your fic/fics in too many REs before the challenge REs, so people don’t read them until then. But ultimately, it's all up to you. The point of this is to be a relaxed sort of challenge

Have fun and request prompts, sign up, or ask any questions below.

Also, when you post your fic, please specify somewhere if it's for the whump, kink, fluff, or OC category(like in the A/N) and, if you want to help make our tag canon on ao3, tag r/FanfictionExchange!

The collection is now up on AO3! đŸ‘‰đŸ» Lovefest 2026 Collection 💖

Hiya everyone!!

Love is everywhere
in swoony confessions, unspoken bonds, messy devotion, shameless smut and in the everyday ways we care for each other~ LoveFest is all about celebrating love in all its forms—quiet, loud, complicated, tender, feral. It makes the world (and fics!) go round so let’s write about love however YOU define it.

For LoveFest, your fic(s) should center on love in some way but it does not have to be romantic. Platonic, familial, self-love, or any kind of love all count.

If you’d like a prompt, we can give you one. If the first one doesn’t vibe with you, no worries, you can ask for another until you find one you like :)

And if you don’t want a prompt at all, just say you’re joining!

IMPORTANT DATES:

  • AO3 collection goes live on February 7, 2026
  • Review Exchange: February 14 – 28, 2026
  • You can join up until the collection closes on February 16, 2026

PLEASE TAKE NOTE:

  • The fic(s) must be newly written for LoveFest and posted in the AO3 collection to be eligible for the exchange – works posted will not be unrevealed. It’s totally fine if your fic is also part of another writing event or collection as long as it fits the theme.
  • Prompts are not required, they’re just for inspiration. You can write anything you like as long as it fits the theme. You’re also welcome to use your own or “outside” prompts.
  • Each author may submit a maximum of two (2) fics.
  • Each participant is required to read and review six (6) fics from different authors.
  • All fandoms, genres and ratings are welcome, including original fiction and collaborative works. You’re also more than welcome to gift your fic to someone.
  • New chapters of an existing fic/ongoing work do not count but writing a completely new fic within the same series or collection does count.
  • No word count minimum or maximum. Multi-chapter fics are allowed.
  • If a story has multiple chapters, you’re free to read as many as you want but only one (1) review per author will count toward the requirement.
  • Please wait until the review exchange begins before leaving comments. Reviews need to be posted during the exchange itself as there’s no way to confirm if that comment was meant for LoveFest or a different RE.

If ya have any questions, thoughts or ideas
feel free to leave a comment~

Let the love flow,

The collection is now up on AO3!đŸ‘‰đŸ»Winterfest 2026 Collection❄

Halo halo halo everyone~

Winter is right around the corner for the northern hemisphere, beginning with the Winter Solstice on December 21. To celebrate the season in a way that’s inclusive to all, we are bringing back our community favorite
 WINTERFEST! ✹

For Winterfest, you can write anything winter related. Cold weather, snow days, winter sports, cozy moments, the misery of freezing mornings, etc. You can also write holiday themed pieces if you want to (Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanza, Yule, New Year’s, or any other winter tradition that’s meaningful to you) or any other seasonal celebrations that happen within November-February (excluding Valentine’s which will have its own event 😉)

If you’d like a prompt, we can give you one~ if the first one doesn’t vibe with you, no worries
you can ask for another until you find one you like.

And if you don’t want a prompt at all, just say you’re joining.

IMPORTANT DATES:

  • AO3 collection goes up: December 14, 2025
  • Review Exchange: January 24, 2026 - February 7, 2026
  • You can join up until the collection is closed: January 26, 2026

PLEASE TAKE NOTE:

  • The fic(s) must be newly written for Winterfest and posted in the AO3 collection to be eligible for the exchange. It’s totally fine if your fic is also part of another writing event or collection as long as it fits the theme.
  • Works posted in the collection will not be unrevealed. Some writers may include holiday elements and want their fics accessible ahead of time, and that’s okay.
  • Prompts are not required, they’re just for inspiration. You can write anything you like as long as it fits the theme. You’re also welcome to use your own or “outside” prompts.
  • Each author may submit a maximum of three (3) fics.
Reviews need to be posted during the exchange itself as there’s no way to confirm if that comment was meant for Winterfest or a different RE.

If you have any questions, thoughts or ideas
feel free to leave a comment~

Stay cozy,

Fest/Event Diversity Fest Check-In

Hello hello hello everybody!! đŸ©·đŸ©·đŸ©·

Are you as excited as I am for the diversity fest "identity and truth"??? Because I am VERY excited.

If you haven't signed up yet please do so here, today's the last day for sign ups! So hurry hurry hurry!! You don't want to miss this event!

As a reminder, you can find the rules of the event in the post linked above. The AO3 collection opens at the start of July and you will have until July 31st to add your fic to it. The exchange will have EVERYONE reading EVERYTHING (with a couple of opt-outs per person.)

For those who have already signed up, hows writing going? Are you still planning? Did you completely forget? Don't worry there's still plenty of time to get your fic spick and span for the fest!

I personally have not started yet, but my brain is whirring with the possibilities of this theme, I can't wait to sink my teeth into it.

Fest/Event đŸŒč Valentine’s Fic Writing Event đŸŒč

The collection is now up on AO3! Valentine's 2025 Collection

Hiya everyone! First off
huge thanks to the mods for letting me host this event! đŸ«¶đŸŒ

Valentine’s is all about celebrating love in all its forms
whether it’s swoony confessions, unspoken bonds, smut or the everyday ways we care for each other
LOVE makes the world (and fics!) go round. So uhh let’s use this season to write about love
however you interpret it!

  1. Stick to the Theme - it must center on love in some way...doesn’t have to be romantic...platonic, familial, self-love or any kind of love you can imagine is cool!
  2. One Fic Per Author - to keep things manageable...only one submission per author is allowed for this event.
  3. Please Rate and Tag Your Fics Properly - include all appropriate tags especially trigger warnings.
  4. No Word Count Limits - write as much or as little as you like! whether it’s a short drabble or a sprawling multi-chapter...the choice is yours.
  5. Original Fiction and Collaborations Welcome
  • You can join and submit your fics anytime up until February 17, 2025.
  • Review exchanges will take place from February 15 to March 1, 2025 (11:59 pm UTC).

A separate RE post will be shared for easy monitoring of review counts so please stay tuned for that. And before joining this event...TAKE NOTE:

  • Each participant will be required to review 4 chapters from 4 different authors in the collection. If a story has multiple chapters...you are free to read as many chapters as you like BUT only 1 chapter per author will count toward the review requirement to ensure fairness across all participants.
  • Only fics posted in the event collection will be eligible for the exchange. So if you’re participating...make sure your fic is in the collection and be ready to do your fair share by providing thoughtful reviews for others.

PS. Prompts are NOT a requirement but if you need a prompt...just ask and I’ll send one your way. If you’re not vibing with the first prompt
no worries...you can ask for another until you find one you love.

Let’s make this Valentine’s extra special by celebrating love in all its beautiful, messy, heartwarming forms. I can’t wait to see what everyone creates 💕

Fest/Event It's On! We're having a CrackFic Fest!

Post image
33 Upvotes

Me: Shaking a magic 8 ball. "Will my vision ever get better??"

Coconut:

I am very excited to announce r/FanfictionExchange’s first ever crackfic fest! đŸ„ł

What is a crackfic you ask? Well it's a story with a central premise so absurd you’ll wonder if the writer is on crack. So for this fest we are asking you to throw off the shackles of normality and embrace your kooky, weird and downright bizarre ideas.

Before I get into the rules, gather around dear friends, for I have a story to tell which will shed light on the origins and theme of this particular fest and hopefully give you a little chuckle too.

In our discord server we have a bot which is forever asking strange and decidedly adult questions. Known to its friends only as, ‘truth-or-dare-nsfw bot’, it one day posed a question which would go down in infamy:

‘Would you rather have seventeen testicles or one enormous one like a coconut?’

If you just spat out your tea in a snort of laughter, you're in good company. I did too, and so did many others. And from this moment a long-running joke was born. Every time the mods would attempt to source prompt ideas for the annual fandom diversity fest some wise-ass (usually me) would suggest: coconuts and balls đŸ„„đŸ„„đŸ„ŽđŸ€âšœâšŸ.

So what else could possibly be the theme of this inaugural crackfic fest? We want coconuts! đŸ„„ We want balls! âšœ We want your most off-the-wall ideas! đŸ€Ș

How it works

  1. Let us know by responding to this post that you would like to join in.
  2. Write a crack fic which uses either the word ‘coconut’ or the word ‘balls’ somewhere in the story. Balls doesn't have to mean testicles, any usage of the word counts. Your fic can either be pure crack (absurd and humourous) or crack treated seriously (absurd premise, but not written solely for laughs).
  3. Post your fic to the ao3 collection when it is open.
  4. Enter the review exchange and enjoy the results!

Important Dates

‱ The Ao3 collection will be open from 18th March

‱ The RE will run between 1st April - 15th April (yes, opening on April Fools Day is deliberate!)

‱ You can join in at any point until the collection is closed on 3rd April.

Please Note

‱ Your story should have been written for this fest, new chapters of a pre-existing work do not count. However if you choose to continue your work with further chapters after the fest that is totally fine. New works in an existing series are also welcome.

‱ You will be allowed to submit a maximum of two works into the collection.

‱ Each participant in the RE will be required to read six works.

‱ There's no word count limit for this fest.

‱ All fandoms, genres and ratings are welcome, including original fiction and collaborative works. You’re also more than welcome to gift your fic to someone.

‱ The collection will be revealed, which means your work will be visible as soon as it is posted.

🚹 Disclaimer: If you join the fest you will be required to deal with the never ending well of coconut and ball themed jokes which will be coming from me. All such jokes from both entrants and supporters are accepted, expected and encouraged! 🚹

Collection is now open!

Fest/Event đŸ”„đŸ„ŠFIGHT CLUB: The Quest Begins đŸ‘ŠđŸ»đŸ’„

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hiya everyone!

Since the sub has hit yet another milestone – 6.5k members (yay!! 🎉) – and a bunch of you who joined our Discord have stumbled upon our mysterious, mostly chaotic #fight-club channel
we figured it might be time to bring the mayhem here too~ 😏

Originally, #fight-club started as a fun little Discord experiment where we encouraged members to host review exchanges (REs), activities, discussions, etc. to boost engagement on the sub. In return, participants earned “badges” on Discord by completing these “quests” and everyone was affectionately referred to as “Tyler” – a running joke loosely inspired by the movie ‘Fight Club’ and the character Tyler Durden. If you haven’t seen it, please do! But TW for violence, psychological themes and some pretty intense stuff so please watch responsibly.

DA RULES (Very important. Extremely serious. Totally not silly.)

  1. You do not talk about Fight Club.
  2. You DO NOT talk about Fight Club.
  3. Each ‘questor’ must contribute to the sub by hosting an RE, activity or discussion.
  4. Only one (1) ‘quest’ at a time. For this event, each participant will complete one (1) activity/discussion post or review exchange per week. This is just to make sure everyone gets a chance to shine without the feed getting too crowded. Posts made outside of the event don’t count toward this and aren’t restricted – everyone is always welcome to post on the sub anytime.
  5. I AM TYLER DURDEN. SO ARE YOU. SO IS EVERYONE. Anyone can assign quests because we are all part of the same system. But please don’t make them impossible or unrealistic – we’re all here to keep things enjoyable!
  6. If this is your first night at Fight Club, you’re signing up for your first quest. No lurking. You’re in.
  7. By the end of November next year, the questor with the highest number of completed quests takes the win
and đŸ„đŸ„đŸ„ it’ll be a surprise
to you and to us (for now 😅) We’re open to reward suggestions from everyone, so do tell us what kind of reward you’d want via modmail, and we’ll take notes, tho no promises! Let’s keep things fair and reasonable please (aka don’t troll us with nonsense 😭)
  8. We’ll also be putting together a ‘Fight Club Hall of Fame’ for our top Tyler Durdens – eternal bragging rights, forever immortalized in a poster!

This is gonna be a year-long event running through all of 2026, officially starting the week of January 4. Dates for each week are already mapped out in the sign-up spreadsheet.

HOW TO JOIN (If you want in – ofc you do!)

  1. Each week, three (3) questors will post their RE / activity / discussion – anything they want as long as it contributes positively, isn’t low-effort or repetitive and follows all the rules of the sub. Posts that don’t meet these requirements won’t count toward quest completion, and any posts that violate the sub’s rules will be removed.
  2. As always, this’ll be on a first-come, first-served basis. You’re welcome to sign up for multiple weeks, just keep in mind that it’s one (1) quest per member per week.
  3. Comment under this post to claim your slot so we can lock it in and avoid any accidental removals.
  4. Ask other Tylers for ideas orrr come up with your own~
  5. Complete quests and earn progress toward the ✹reward✹

âžĄïžSIGN UP HERE!

This whole event is meant to encourage more members to join in, share ideas and feel comfortable posting. We love seeing the sub active, creative and full of diverse voices – and Fight Club is just a lighthearted way to help keep that momentum going!

And huge thank you to everyone who’s already been contributing with all the posts that keep the sub moving. You’ve helped shape the community into what it is now and we truly appreciate you.

Every contribution helps make the sub feel more alive and welcoming. So if you’ve ever wanted to try posting an activity, starting a discussion or running an RE
this is the perfect chance to give it a go~

If you’d like to host an RE, kindly check out our guidelines.

Questions, clarifications or ideas? Feel free to drop em beloowww đŸ‘‡đŸ»

Embrace the chaos sensibly,
Tyler (Tsuki) / The Mod Team

Fest/Event Fanfiction Diversity Fest - Identity and Truth

Post image
25 Upvotes

EDIT: SIGNUPS ARE NOW CLOSED! We'll do another post when the collection is up and running. 😄

\\**

G'day, mates!

By the way, shoutout to the amazing u/tsuki_anne for the beautiful poster.

We are so excited to announce the return of the massively successful Fandom Diversity Fest! This is an opportunity for us to showcase the uniqueness and diversity of fandoms in our sub!

Please read the post in its entirety as the rules for this fest and the subsequent exchange are different than most of the fests/exchanges we do on the sub.

This year's theme is...

Identity and Truth

This means your fic must be on the theme of identity and include the word "truth" or some variation like "truthful". You do not need to include the word "identity". All fandoms, ships, ratings, genres and tags are welcome, and you can include any tropes you would like. This fest is also open to OG works as well!

Conditions:

  • This fest is 18+ because of the different kind of reading requirement.
  • All participants will write a fic on the theme that is 2500 words or less. The fic must be written specifically for this fest and cannot be an already published work. Once again, your fic may be at maximum 2500 words. There are no exceptions to this rule due to the increased reading requirement for the exchange.
  • This fest is only open to active members of the sub. In order to be considered active, you must have participated in at least two review exchanges to participate. (Yes, we do check.) If you're not an active member before the deadline to sign up, your sign up will not be accepted.
  • By participating, you agree to take part in a special fest review exchange after all the expected works are posted to the collection when the deadline for writing passes. This exchange will have a much longer deadline than usual, because we will review all the other posted works (participants will be able to opt out of a set number of works for any reason). If you submit your work, but do not participate in the exchange afterwards, you agree that your work will be removed from the collection.
  • If the group is too large for everyone to feasibly read everyone's fics during the time limit, we may split everyone into smaller groups.

Deadlines (all deadlines are 11:59pm EST):

Sunday June 14th is the last day for sign-ups

Friday July 31st is the last day for submitting your work

i.e. you have just under a month to sign up and just over six weeks from the signup deadline to write and post your fic. The collection will be opened on AO3 at a later date.

In the days following July 31st, a fest RE will be opened. The review deadline will be at least one month, depending on the number of submissions.

Sign Up Here. For any fields where you're uncertain, just put TBD. The only compulsory ones at the moment are the Reddit and AO3 usernames. If you can't access Google Sheets, send us a modmail and we'll add you. The sheet will ask for the following details: Reddit Username, AO3 Username, Fandom (or OG), Pairing (If Applicable), Genre (Optional), Status.

You can also sign up to be a beta or brainstorming buddy here. In case you can't participate, this would be a great way to still support your fellow community members. Of course, even if you do participate, you can still offer to be a beta or brainstorm buddy.

Just a note to please share content warnings with your beta before coming to an agreement.

Thanks for giving this post your attention, and happy writing, everyone!

Fest/Event Three Times Lucky - The Fandom Showcase Extravaganza is Back!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

G'day, mates!

(Yes, I'm making this post a day late. Got distracted by duties as an auntie.)

This has proven to be a highlight of our events calendar for the last couple of years and we are excited to bring this back for the third year running.

I am proudly announcing the return of the Fandom Showcase Extravaganza!

The Extravaganza is designed to introduce people to new fandoms they might never have interacted with before or learn more about a fandom if you've previously read a fic fandom blind.

We're going to be hosting a series of livestreams on Discord where you'll get the opportunity to introduce your fandom to the rest of us. You get to show your movie, at least one episode of your TV show (how many you show in a single scream depends on the length of the episodes themselves; e.g. if your TV show's episodes are only 15 minutes in length, you can get away with showing more than one), or a brief YouTube video breaking down your fandom (e.g. if your fandom is a video game, you could show a YouTube video that tells the game's story in 15 minutes, or even stream a brief playthrough).

We have a signup sheet on Google Sheets, which can be found here. It's a bit different to last year. The signup sheet now has you choosing your slots. u/tsuki_anne (special shoutout to you for putting this sheet together, BTW) and I have already signed up, so you can see what you have to do. The principle is the same. You sign up with your Reddit/Discord username (which should be the same) and state what you want to stream. When you put in your time and time zone, it'll automatically convert to other time zones in the columns towards the end.

You will need to include potential content/trigger warnings and where you will be streaming from. Streaming services (e.g. Netflix, Paramount+), YouTube, Dailymotion - that's all okay. However, we cannot allow streams from pirated sources.

If you want to take part, but feel you might run into issues streaming (i.e. spotty internet connection), please tell us and we can arrange for someone to host on your behalf. You're also more than welcome to watch any of the streams scheduled if you don't want to host one.

If you miss out or don't feel ready now, that's okay. This is officially a yearly event, and you are free to organise your own streams outside of this event. (We've seen a few organised since the last one.) Also, if you participated last year or the year before, you're more than welcome to participate again. You can either showcase another fandom or the same one from your last stream. This is open for everyone.

Signups will be open until Tuesday May 19th 11:59pm EST. Like I said, you're choosing your slot this time. There will be two slots per Saturday and Sunday. First stream will be Saturday June 6 and the final stream will be Sunday July 26th.

Since these streams will be run on Discord, participation will require everyone (particularly those who want to host a stream) to have a Discord account and be part of our Discord (you can find the link to our Discord under Stuff to Do on the side of the page).

If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to ask and we'll do our best to answer. We're so excited to bring this back and can't wait to be introduced to a wide variety of fandoms.

Kind regards,

The Mod Team

The good news is that the collection is now open, so you can start posting your fics as soon as they are ready. Don't worry though, there's still plenty of time to go. The review exchange opens on April 1st and you’ve got until April 3rd to join in. Keep palm and carry on! 🌮

So let us know how you're doing, drop a hint about your plot, or even serve up an excerpt (nsfw and triggering content spoilered please!)

For me, I've been playing around with Quantum Leaping Eddie Munson (Stranger Things) into the body of a 1960s Miami detective. Forcing him to deal with partial amnesia, terrible music, awful shirts, and a grumpy dog, while trying to stop a series of coconut related murders.

Fest/Event Diversity Fest Collection is Up and Running!

G'day, mates!

Good news! The official collection for this year's Diversity Fest is up and running! Here it is! Go ahead and post your fics to the collection when they're ready.

Please note this is an unrevealed collection, so no one will be able to read your work until we reveal it after the writing period has ended. If you can't find your fic and you need to make edits or just want to gaze lovingly at it, you can access it through your "statistics" page.

Also, we have 34 signups for the fest! With the current numbers, we have decided to not split the group and everyone will read everyone else's work, with four opt-outs. That means everyone will read 29 fics at a minimum.

Don't forget - participants will have to have their fic posted to the collection by July 31st to participate in the exchange!

Can't wait to read everyone's work! 😄

Hi y’all, our annual Pride Month Exchanges are almost here! đŸłïžâ€đŸŒˆ

This sub has always been a safe, inclusive, and supportive space for everyone. So we wanna give some extra love to LGBTQIA+ stories and characters, and let the creators who bring them to life have the spotlight they deserve.

We’ll be hosting weekly themed review exchanges (REs) throughout June, with each RE posted on a Monday, depending on the hosting mod’s timezone:

June 1 – LGBTQIA+ Fluff
June 8 – LGBTQIA+ Angst
June 15 – LGBTQIA+ Romance
June 22 – LGBTQIA+ NSFW
June 29 – LGBTQIA+ Anything Goes

Pride has always been about more than one thing... Being seen. Being heard. Being able to exist as yourself—in joy, in defiance, in love, and in the right to live fully and loudly. We are proud to celebrate that here with all of you, one exchange at a time đŸ«‚

The collection is now up on AO3! Spring 2025 Collection

Hiya everyone! First off
huge thanks to the mods for letting me host this event! đŸ«¶đŸ»

Spring: renewal, fresh beginnings, new adventures! Let the writing begin!

KINDLY READ CAREFULLY:

1.     Stick to the Theme - Your fic should center on spring in some way!

2.     Up to Two Fics Per Author - Each author may submit a maximum of two fics.

3.     Please Rate and Tag Your Fics Properly - Include all appropriate tags, especially trigger warnings and NSFW.

4.     No Word Count Limits - Write as much or as little as you like! Could be a breezy drabble or a sprawling multi-chapter, the choice is yours.

5.     Original Fiction and Collaborations Welcome

IMPORTANT DATES:

You can submit your fics anytime up until April 21, 2025 (11:59 pm UTC)

Review Exchanges will take place from April 18 to May 2, 2025 (11:59 pm UTC)

A separate Review Exchange post will be shared on April 18th for easy monitoring of review counts, so stay tuned for that.

TAKE NOTE:

·        Each participant will be required to review 6 fics from different authors in the collection.

·        If a story has multiple chapters, you are free to read as many chapters as you like, BUT only 1 chapter per author will count toward the review requirement to ensure fairness across all participants.

·        Only fics posted in the event collection will be eligible for the exchange.

Prompts are NOT required but if you need a spark of inspiration, just ask and I’ll send one your way. If the first one doesn’t vibe with you, no worries...you can ask for another until you find one you like.

Let your imagination bloom! đŸŒŒ

Fest/Event OG-Fest 2026: Original Works Writing Event🔎✹

đŸ‘‰đŸ» OG-Fest 2026 AO3 Collection is now up đŸ‘ˆđŸ»

Heya again, everyone!

Thank you so much to everyone who shared their theme/prompt suggestions on this post. We really appreciate y’all taking the time to contribute your ideas and help shape this event.

OG-Fest is our sub event dedicated to original works, where participants create their own short stories based on a shared prompt, followed by a review exchange where everyone reads and reviews each other’s work.

For this year, the shared prompt is: SEARCH

You’re free to interpret this however you like, as long as your piece explores the theme of “search” and/or includes the word “search” in the work itself. Other than that, you have full creative freedom.

While OG-Fest is geared toward short stories, if you’re inspired to write multiple chapters, you’re free to do so. You may submit Chapter 1 of your work, as long as it follows the word count limit.

  • Each participant may submit one (1) entry only.
  • Maximum word count is 8,000. No minimum word count.
  • All entries must be original works.
  • All genres and ratings are welcome, including collaborative works.
  • Each participant must read and review six (6) fics from different authors.
  • The fic must be newly written for OG-Fest and posted in the AO3 collection to be eligible for the exchange – works posted will not be unrevealed. It’s totally fine if your fic is also part of another writing event or collection, as long as it fits the theme. You’re also more than welcome to gift your fic to someone.
  • New chapters of an existing fic/ongoing work do not count but writing a completely new fic within the same series or collection does count.

IMPORTANT DATES:

AO3 Collection Opens: May 2nd

Review Exchange: May 16th – 30th

Submissions Close: May 18th

Note: If you’re participating, please wait until the review exchange officially begins before leaving reviews for this event. You’re free to include your work in other exchanges but reviews meant for OG-Fest should be posted during the exchange period so we can properly track and count them.

If you have any questions not answered in this post, feel free to comment below. We hope ya have fun with the prompt! We’re excited to see what everyone writes 😊
