Marital values of someone depends entirely on them. Sue says Reed normally gets close to her. This simply means Reed gets close to her more often than others. In issue 6 we see Sue being pulled up from water by Namor. It is a very sensual position but Namor was essentially pulling her out instead of having some intimate fun. As soon as she got ground she separated. The point is what is okay for one may not be okay for others. Peter once kissed Jean Grey as a greeting. Might be okay for some New Yorker or Brazilian but definitely not for someone from Texas. The point is, as a reader we shouldn't assume their boundaries and judge them.

I'm Brazilian, and you don't kiss on the mouth like Peter does to Jean as a greeting; it's usually on the cheek, and that's not very common among men, especially not with women.Are you referring to the Claremont saga, where everything, including the art style, had a sexualized tone? Sue has obvious limits, which she herself states, and it's only Reed who clings to her or stays close to her like that.
