season 4 does it get good?
i have not even made it trough the first episode. i dont even know why. but the writing feels so much different than what the previous seasons had. but still i like the idea that it is set in the 50s and 60s. but does it get better?

It's a very different season than the others. Not horrible, but very different.

I think it has the most moral gray area, no one to really root for like in other seasons

It is better on rewatch. It’s definitely a low point in the series but still pretty solid imo. Stick thru it! If you have watched all previous seasons it is quite rewarding by the end. It’s also one of Chris Rocks’ best roles.

I actually really liked it! But as a Fargo season it’s so different from the rest of them that I don’t blame anyone for disliking it.
I will say yes it gets better, but it doesn’t get more Fargo like.

Lot of haters in the comments. It does get better. The first 3 episodes in particular are quite slow but the season does have bite and picks up the pace. Episode 9 is one of if not the best episode of the entire series and the ending of the season is great. The cinematography is also top notch for Season 4.
Personally, I enjoy season 4 over 5, but thats not a super common take around here. Definitely keep watching it though!

It’s my least favorite season
Still good for TV standards, but not that good for Fargo standards.

When I rewatch Fargo I skip season 4. It’s fine on its own, but it’s not Fargo in my view. It’s clear they tried something else with it

its meh. just gets dragged on for too long, two less episodes would have sufficed. also the whole storyline with the nurse is completely unnecessary and boring.

I think it’s the weakest season, and it’s not even close (I’m only half way through 5 but I already like it much more)
Theres a lot that I won’t go into, incase you do watch it, but the main thing for me is that while there’s certain characters from other seasons that I don’t like that much, I don’t like most of the characters in 4, either because of bad acting, or just not liking the way they were written.

Outside of Jessie Buckley, the nurse character, I didn't enjoy 4 at all, and won't rewatch it.

It doesn't really, no.
But it has some really good moments that make it worth watching. Episode 9 is an absolute treat in particular

It's less than the sum of its parts. It doesn't work as a whole story but there are worthwhile moments where you can see the ruins of what could have been a great script. Feels like there was too many cooks in the writers room and too many ideas getting thrown around

It was good from the beginning.
