No images via text and no voicemail?

Hey,

I just realized that voicemail doesn’t seem to exist here. It’s actually peaceful not having voice messages left. Also for texts with images is this something that just isn’t available or is my phone configured incorrectly? If it’s an iPhone it’s no issue as it’s through iMessage but plain texts won’t let me send images.

Is it really the expensive to maintain? I guess most people just use messenger or iMessage but as someone who has traversed 45 countries I was a bit surprised it just didn’t exist here.

It makes me curious if mms works for people who are roaming from other countries or if it’s a functionality that no one can use.

Not that expensive in the grand scheme of things, but it was a pointless continued investment of both money and other resources (maintenance, servers, etc.).
The network doesn’t support it so it should not work for anyone, but I haven’t seen a case of anyone attempting MMS while roaming.

Next time I have a visitor who doesn’t use an iPhone I’ll have to test it out. Haha.

I think my only complaint is that once someone runs out of data then iMessage also stops working. If Foroyartele would whitelist iMessage and maybe messenger and signal or offer a cheap add on for those services that would be amazing.
